Unfortunately it seems that not everyone who wanted to attend the tourney like us could get in, which is why a few of us started talking in C3 about a few other community organised ways to have a bit of competitive fun. After a bit of silliness and actualy some good ideas we have an idea for a few events!
LAV GP - fairly simple, a multilap race round the map on a preagreed path,
HAV GP - like the LAV one but with tanks!
Dropship Jousting - no gunners, just 2 pilots who go to ram each other untill there is only one left flying! first person to touch the ground looses!
LAV AV grenade minefield slalom - a slalom of AV grenade gates! fastest completing time (without exploding) wins!
hunt the lone sniper - highly dampened snipers litter the battlefield! person to get the most kills win before all the snipers are dead! Being killed means you loose one point
LAV Long jump LAVs launch themselves gracefully through the air off a bump! longest jump wins!
we want to come up with a few other ideas, anyone have any suggestions? |

No kidding, I've done it so close before that it almost glitched the graphics as it tried to flick the dampener graphics and animation on then off. Took 10 seconds before it would let me stand up. ^_^ |

Demotion Derby: only Militia LAVs with militia mounted turrets allowed, when a team of 2 dies they must immediately respawn, call in another LAV and rejoin the action. 2 person team with Highest combined WP wins, each death subtract 140 WP(2 deaths and LAV destruction) from each team.
-no bailing from your LAV, ever
-no other weapons can be used
-LAVs must allow for downed players to freely call in replacement LAVs (no killing anyone not in a LAV) |

A group of 16 people must find the 1 lone enemy on the 5 points map.

I've almost died doing this. The MCC was closer to the ground than i though... was a cliff right below it. my heart about stopped lol |

Red Rover: this would require team chat and Skype between the opposing leaders. Each team protects a CRU on the 3 point map by staging players who CANNOT move in locations around it with only smgs. They Take turns calling 1 player at a time to try and make it through their line to the CRU(safeZone) each team gets smaller as the fight goes on. Most successful dashes to the CRU wins.
- Runner cannot shoot back.
- no blocking Bottleneck pathways (hills up to North CRU or placing someone along the walls of the buildings at South CRU) |

Rail gun the heavy = You have a heavy stand in front of the rail gun and see how far you can launch him! Its similar to launching clowns from a canon?
Heavy long jump = standard long jump rules except with heavies |

I've been planning something like that for a long time! Basically, the plan is to set up something like that once we have a wide access to planets and districts (to avoid unwanted fighting during the race)
There will be staked LAV races- the drivers themselves have a small entrance fee, which the winner will collect all of. Spectators from both eve and dust will be encouraged to make bets on these races.
Corps will also be encouraged to sponsor drivers, and it will be within the rules to jump out and use a repair tool.
Already have 2 corps that seem willing to sponsor this/give security. |
