I know command and pilot dropsuits are coming, but not knowing what they will be, here are my ideas for different dropsuits:
- "Observer" dropsuit. It would have no weapons, but would have high speed and very high sensor dampening (or cloaking). Low armor and shield, one equipment slot. - "Diversion" dropsuit. This could also be achieved with modules maybe. It would register as three dots on the map, show up as very visible all the time, trigger all proximity alarm from much further than normal, attract fire from installations even when not in sight or out of range.
Any other dropsuits you'd like to see? |

I like the observer dropsuit you speak of. It could have soe sort of binoculars to spot peole so that your teammates can find the enemies on the minimap. +1 |

Observer is the eact same as The scout.
The other one could just be a module not a whole new suit
Edit That's what the scout is for just flop modules on to its base bonuses and go for it |

I'd imagine that eventually we'll start seeing highly specialized T2 variants of suits. So there might be a T2 scout suit that would function as the "observer", for example.
Other ideas:
- T2 scout that loses its light slot in exchange for a bonuses to attack cooldown after cloak. Uncloak behind someone, drop grenades, hit with nova knife, whatever.
- Heavy suit that drops its heavy slot to a light, but gets bonuses to damage resistance. Intended to soak up damage while being repped.
- Logi suits with bonuses to electronic warfare. Why not have offensive logis?
- Assault suits with grenade bonuses, because BOOM!
- Paratrooper assault suits that can drop from higher without taking damage. There's a wide gap between "no damage range" and "high enough to activate inertia damp", and dropships like to live in that gap.

The Scout suit is marginally faster and more stealthy than an assault suit, and the assault suits has more module options, more PG and more CPU. What I am talking about is a suit that sacrifices offensive capabilities for extreme stealth and speed. The speed to run beside a tank, and the stealth to be invisible to anyone further than 20m. |

But it WOULD be cool if there was a suit like Observator, it could act as a spotter, have different module slots. Slots that are used for stealth modules, hacking modules and sabotage modules. |

Its a scout hopefully CCP would adjust the scouts stats to make it more useful for indirect support/recon. But there no point in a new suit type just fit a scout with the right modules and go, or ask for a tech 2 scout that sacrifice more combat capabilitys for recon roles. No point in a new suit when the scout is supposed to fill this role anyway. |
