Are those Militia Vehicle Module BPOs that I'm seeing for30 AUR?
The freaking things cost 10-50k ISK each, and you're telling me you get to buy an infinite amount of them for 30 AUR? Raise the price, or remove the BPOs.
Militia Shield Extender BPC: 450 ISK Militia Shield Extender BPO: 20 AUR
Militia Heavy Shield Extender BPC: 55,920 ISK Militia Heavy Shield Extender BPO: 30 AUR

For vehicles, no, in fact I'm not. Do you realize how much ISK those damn things cost per use? 30 AUR is NOT an adequate tradoff for infinite runs, what so ever. The major shield mods run around 35 and 55k a piece, while many of the others are 15-18k a piece. The conversions don't stack up at all here. |

I don't like to be the one to really call this, but I'm gonna call this: Pay to Win, Vehicle Module BPOs. Raise the price, or remove the BPOs. Even if they aren't BPOs, 30 AUR a pop is nothing.
Enjoy the game?

Tight fisted lol, good one. More like open palms.
Even if it was a freaking penny, the point remains that this is a HUGE advantage for the cost, there is nothing that even comes close when it comes to ISK. I've never caused a stink because I've never messed around with militia stuff, but now that I'm finally testing tanks I actually took a closer look and hot damn. A tank with AUR BPOs will run 100-200k cheaper than the same ISK variant, allowing the pilot to call in his (militia) HAV significantly more often than the ISK counterpart, especially considering they'll likely die, being militia fits.
I don't know, I was more or less curious if anyone else noticed. The disparity was just, really obvious >_< |

Aside from Thukker grenades, I've never had a problem with AUR, at all, even skill boosters that are made completely of sex. It's just this specific instance. Why are they so painfully cheap for AUR, if they're so expensive for ISK? Why isn't there some kind of scaling going on here for the cost? Why does a militia dropsuit module that costs 500 ISK a pop cost 30 AUR for a BPO, but a shield module that costs 55,000 ISK a pop, also costs 30 AUR for a BPO.
It just doesn't stack up. |

Exactly. They are Militia equipment so they are the most basic modules you can find. So no, I don't find them too cheap as long there are better modules in game. Also the price for regular isk modules are just beta NPC prices, as soon the game will be final and modules will be produced by EVE players, they will change. They might go up but they also might go down. Only time will tell. |

I'm guessing they are cheap so we get them and test them - I'd wait for the game to go live (or be in final pre-live build) before hammering this too much. |

OP has a valid point. adressing this issue is good. sure ccp probably knows this, but bringing it up to the front doesn't cause harm. Some scaling definatly needs done. 500 isk 30 aur, 55k isk 30 aur.. who cares its militia and there is better, it still needs to be scaled correctly. that 55k isk module should be more like 250 aur a pop if not more |

Oh wow, so someone can actually get somethin useful with AUR and people complain? WHAT is the big deal? I don't exactly understand what your point is. It's freaking militia items...
People need to realize that if AUR isn't worth buying for the majiority of the than this game will fail completely. It's not rocket science. If there is only some value for only a select few people than CCP will not make money and this game will die. In fact, I'd rather see AUR items exactly how they were in the beginning of the last build. They only allowed someone to equip something sooner and or used less PG/CP.
For those who keep QQ about "waaaaah P2W", then get off your lazy ass and get a job. Save pennies... AUR is not expensive. So if you don't feel like supporting the game then don't play it. It's that simple. If I can buy a little AUR here and there off my meager wage then anyone can.

Even if you buy a militia BPO is just a complete waste without the tank. The tank itself costs 150K ISK. Now are you going to tell me that you will be using a militia build for the rest of dust lifetime or would you get something better? Militia equipment cost a heck of a lot of PG or CPU and provide absolutely no additional benefit.
Who cares even if its BPO? Its useless imho! Just my 0.02 ISK |

CCP is going the wrong way with their AUR purchases. They're moving more toward stuff affecting the way the game plays while almost entirely neglecting the cosmetic, non-gameplay features other F2P games focus on to make their money. I wish they'd do away with things like militia BPOs for AUR and focus on cosmetic features for people to spend money on. In the meantime they could take the axe to all of the dropsuit BPOs we've acquired from events and stuff and convert them into skins you can apply to purchased dropsuits. |

They'll adjust the prices accordingly for the full game, no doubt.
Assuming, you know, it ever comes out.
I would, however, GREATLY enjoy them 'finishing out' the militia BPO items. It's rather tiresome at the moment to not have them all (Militia Shield Extender for vehicles, for instance, but they DO have the Militia Heavy Shield Extender; and where is my Militia Damage Control Unit?). |

EVE BPOs are not the same thing as Dust BPOs. Just because I have a rifter BPO doesn't mean I get free, infinite rifters. You have no idea what you're talking about, or you're being wilfully ignorant. Either way, what CCP does with its subscription-based MMORPG is completely irrelevant to what they should do with their F2P FPS game. |

Militia vehicle modules are not like militia dropsuit modules. The vehicle ones are soooo bad, you'd be a fool to not upgrade them the first chance you got.
Example:
Militia heavy armor repair 26 cpu, 1232 pg 288 repair
Minimal skills heavy armor repair 21 cpu, 896 pg 342 repair
5 cpu, 336 pg, 54 repair difference (that pg is huge, soma has 2555 base, you're using almost half of that with just the repair, if you have a militia railgun on your main turret, that's another 1200, you now have next to no pg for anything else)
The militia vehicle modules both tend to take a LOT more fitting space AND give much lower performance (armor plates and shield extenders look like militia versions have 2/3 the health the minimal SP-invested modules have, on top of also requiring significantly more cpu/pg to fit). You're sacrificing a lot to use them. I honestly don't care that they're BPOs for AUR, because if you're trying to use vehicles in any capacity, you're going to get away from militia modules as fast as possible so you can actually have a full fit going on. |

Not wanting to derail the topic, but CCP has never been happy with BPO's in eve and how they turned out. That's one of the reasons pretty much all our gear is limited use. In Eve, one of the driving principles of the game is that someone who specializes can 'quickly' be on a somewhat even field as someone who's been playing for years. A 5 million SP pilot in a Rifter (very basic ship) is just as good as a 70 million sp pilot in a rifter if the 5 million SP pilot has the related skills trained.
BPO's in eve throw that out the window. People who've owned BPO's for years and have them researched to the point where they can dominate the market without challenge from people who just bought a BPO a month ago. It makes for a ****** experience for industrialists who are just starting out, and that's not cool. But... The system has been going strong for too long for them to make any radical changes without generating massive rage. That's no reason why they have to stick to the same pattern in Dust. From what I understand, that is why we will not be seeing any BPO's for mid to high end stuff in dust. |

Yes it'd be a good feedback thread. Regarding the OP, I agree that the AUR prices should be reflective of ISK prices (CCP controls the whole market in beta after all) so something that's BPC costs 50k ISK should cost five times more AUR than something that's BPC costs 10k ISK. |

Let's not forget CCP said that almost anything aurum will soon be sellable on the open market for ISK, thus undermining the argument that aurum items are pay to win because then people who grinded massive amount if ISK will be able to use them as well. |
