Militia vehicle modules are not like militia dropsuit modules. The vehicle ones are soooo bad, you'd be a fool to not upgrade them the first chance you got.
Example:
Militia heavy armor repair 26 cpu, 1232 pg 288 repair
Minimal skills heavy armor repair 21 cpu, 896 pg 342 repair
5 cpu, 336 pg, 54 repair difference (that pg is huge, soma has 2555 base, you're using almost half of that with just the repair, if you have a militia railgun on your main turret, that's another 1200, you now have next to no pg for anything else)
The militia vehicle modules both tend to take a LOT more fitting space AND give much lower performance (armor plates and shield extenders look like militia versions have 2/3 the health the minimal SP-invested modules have, on top of also requiring significantly more cpu/pg to fit). You're sacrificing a lot to use them. I honestly don't care that they're BPOs for AUR, because if you're trying to use vehicles in any capacity, you're going to get away from militia modules as fast as possible so you can actually have a full fit going on. |

Not wanting to derail the topic, but CCP has never been happy with BPO's in eve and how they turned out. That's one of the reasons pretty much all our gear is limited use. In Eve, one of the driving principles of the game is that someone who specializes can 'quickly' be on a somewhat even field as someone who's been playing for years. A 5 million SP pilot in a Rifter (very basic ship) is just as good as a 70 million sp pilot in a rifter if the 5 million SP pilot has the related skills trained.
BPO's in eve throw that out the window. People who've owned BPO's for years and have them researched to the point where they can dominate the market without challenge from people who just bought a BPO a month ago. It makes for a ****** experience for industrialists who are just starting out, and that's not cool. But... The system has been going strong for too long for them to make any radical changes without generating massive rage. That's no reason why they have to stick to the same pattern in Dust. From what I understand, that is why we will not be seeing any BPO's for mid to high end stuff in dust. |

Yes it'd be a good feedback thread. Regarding the OP, I agree that the AUR prices should be reflective of ISK prices (CCP controls the whole market in beta after all) so something that's BPC costs 50k ISK should cost five times more AUR than something that's BPC costs 10k ISK. |

1st: Please stop comparing Dust to Eve.
2nd: True that single-packaged (lol) militia modules are redundant.
3rd: Militia BPOs for 30AUR is by definition MICROtransaction, it's such a tiny amount for infinite use I regard those BPO's totally free for every single soul.
4th: Having a free militia module on the field is not gonna make you better at killing that opponent there - so it's different from the monster called P2Win. As some people have pointed out somewhat related to topic, they are actually bad. Yes they save isk, but monetary balance is gonna be totally elsewhere once the isk starts to flow.
(5th on tiniest possible font: no market, beta pricing.....) |

Let's not forget CCP said that almost anything aurum will soon be sellable on the open market for ISK, thus undermining the argument that aurum items are pay to win because then people who grinded massive amount if ISK will be able to use them as well. |
