Well, the first part of my diary is now finished as the only three reserved posts have practically reached their 6,000 character limit. I could continue my diary as simple replies but that will only confuse people. So I'm going to start a new thread to continue the diary. I will setup a cross post to this thread as a reference. I hope everyone enjoyed part 1 and learned as much as they could from the profession. |

The trick is to pump yourself full of kinetics, pick out your battles, and always have a getaway. Never be in the open. If there's no way to get to a confined space, call in an LAV and truck it to the nearest cramped space you can find. I also carry grenades. I wish there were flashbangs... Man that would make my life so much easier. |

I would so much love to see these diaries become some sort of blog once NDA is lifted. So many cool things to read from this kind of dedication! Keep 'em coming! |

Maken Tosch wrote:One of you was wondering if the Hand-to-Hand skill book effects the Nova Knife. It doesn't. It's meant only for melee. Although it's nice to see that if I fit the Nova Knife and have it ready I can swing my fists instead of using the butt end of a rifle.
Thanks for clearing that up. Sadly I have already spend some SP in the skill thinking it would apply to the Nova Knife. Luckily i only leveled it up to lv2 so I and I can ignore this skill for now which spares me from the higher SP costs.
The thread where I raised the question is Nova Knives
I really admire your persistence. It's nice to see someone developing good skill with the Nova Knives. They really rock. I was going to pursue this alley myself but I gave up too soon and got tempted into playing multiple roles. |

Hey little ninja knifey dude, I admire your dedication and just asked to join the Seraphim initiative. I look forward to fighting alongside you.
Also I had 2 thoughts. 1. Have you considered the Scout tier 1 bpo on sale right now. It is like 12k aur but if you have a merc pack it is an excellent way to blow a quarter of it. How much more could you do with a badass looking (unique skin) tier 1 scout suit you don't have to pay for each time you die. 2. Have you considered using a logi suit, it still has a speed boost (not quite as high as the scout suit one sadly) but also a ton of slots and pg/cpu, and the most important thing.... it gets a bonus to hack time. It gives you an entirely new side niche that makes you an invaluable asset as a point capper/disrupter as well. You are super fast and stealthy, with the boost to hacking you can get in, hack, get out and hide. This also synergises well with your guarding the point while backstabbing the hacker trap you have going on. Just a thought |

Sorry, I completely forgot about this. Been rather busy this past couple of weeks.
I opted to not use the logi because I have tried it before and currently it's ok but I'm just not good at it as I had hoped. This is based on my experience from both the E3 build and the Precursor build. In regards to the Scout T1 BPO, I don't feel the need for that at the moment since I now have a stockpile of scout fits thanks to the unexpected ISK transfers as of late. I might consider it once I start to run out. |

I wanted to inform you that the logi suit is not FASTER than assault, it is SLOWER. It aslo have a bigger signature and no sidearm slot. |

Just throwing this in there, make note a really important aspect of your character is going to be Electronics and Engineering, do yourself a favour and train up alot of the shield skills to give yourself some passive bonuses, I find it often means the difference between getting 1shot and 2shot from a sniper rifle This as mentioned by other with the logistics suit could make you rather dangerous even in frontal combat with another by allowing you to take up to full clips before going down. |

There is no problem to put sidearms to L slot. |

I do see your point there. The reason I neglected those aspects is because I wanted to force myself to be diligent and careful with my suits. It's good practice and will give me plenty of experience by the time I focus training up on armor and shield skills. |
