We will see how the crying pans out. Two guys with starter swarm fits can keep a dropship occupied so it doesn't really do anything other than fly around in circles or hide out low to the ground. And yes, something is wrong when a team shoots at the drop ship with their assault rifles and otherwise lets one fly around and kill them.

I prefer faster speed, more damage but lower homing capabilities. As said, it's Anti Aircraft (Lock-on Only too), not intended to murder tanks -_-

I know, i'm just stating that the forge gun is VERY capable of taking down dropships. I sort of hope it drives more people to pick up the heavy class.

The skills for that (flying in a fast circle around the map) are the first ones I developed when learning to fly. As previously mentioned, however, this forces you to maintain a wide arc flight path. It can make dropships fairly easy pickings to a forge gunner. HAVs and installations theoretically have a similar capacity to be dangerous, but I've found them to be easy enough to find and target that they're not that much of a problem.

This doesn't help but it gives you insight that once you figure out how to fly you quickly have to figure out how to evade infinite missiles.

But ya I do agree they need to do work with swarms. One big problem with swarms is they follow your path instead of taking the most direct route. Which would force people to fly away then.

Forge guns always seemed more for dropships anyway.
