This is an information request:
Maximus Creed wrote:There is a lot I don't understand, is it simply the following? @IfMy scan PRECISION < my target's scan PROFILE@WhenI look directly at the target@ThenHe will appear as a red dot on my HUD/minimap
Let's imagine we keep the @If and the @Then constant, here are a few alternatives for the @When: @WhenTarget is in my line of sight@WhenTarget is in my line of sight AND I look indirectly at him - e.g. I look to within a 10 meter radius of his body.In the case of the latter, we have another variable: the radius of the circle about his body that we need to look directly at in order to register a hit <-- Profile Radius, if you like... @WhenTarget is in my line of sight AND Target is within my scan RANGE@WhenI look directly at the target AND For at least X seconds
There are a lot of variables here:
- My scan PRECISION
- Target's scan PROFILE
- RANGE from taget
- Profile RADIUS (see above definition)
- Length of time I need to be looking at him
- Length of time he remains red after I have looked away
I'd love to know how it is calculated, and what the skills actually do with regards to the above variables, and indeed which of the above variables come into play...and all of this without even considering active scanners! Thanks in advance for any insight.

No clue, but from what I have played, and what I have read it is broken. (it being the active scanners, and your passive scanners) |

don't forget to use your eyes.
with the terrible filter and visuals you can see everyone on the battle as long as they are able to be seen.
dark maps are notorious for this. black specks running along blue surfaces. |

I don't think it's working. Right now targets seem to appear in the radar only after you got killed. Maybe it's being fixed as we speak... |

I was about to post something about this as well. It seemed like in the last build there was some sort of live data feed that constantly provided information on the enemies positions from your teammates if they spotted an enemy. I really liked that because it fit into the sci-fi theme, and gave me a sense of the flow of the battle. Now, I am not seeing enemies on my HUD that I know my teammates see.
It seems like the distance at which I get the little red arrow has decreased, but since I don't get enough skill points per match to experiment and see if there is a difference by leveling up the resolution skills it will be a while before we get some answers. |
