Ok, couple games earlier today it was just out of hand. I wasted I'd say at least.....7 or 8 suits in one game, due to spawning right next to, or close to teams of enemy players. This was in the match type that is suppose to have random spawns, some kind of assault/defend map. All times I was basically gunned down before I could turn to move and run, or respond with return fire.
Most of the other games I've played, generally have a short spawn shield after spawning, to compensate for lag or slow loading. And it's quickly getting to the point where it's needed here. It's absolutely no fun to be gunned down instantly before doing anything. This will end up being a game killer if it's not taken care of, and becomes abused. |

no thanks. I agree that no one likes kills that are caused by a poor spawn location. but, making players untouchable (even for a few seconds) only shifts the greif to people who have an enemy drop next to them. |

I prefer they instead fix spawn locations. Spawn us near teammates, not just randomly |

Agreed. If they can't figure out how to give us a decent spawn system that prevents base raping, they need to give us time to at least load our screen completely before we can get shot. I have had a few spawns that I came in from the black screen to an already dead character. |

How so? Please expound on your theory, as I would love to hear it. Here is mine. If you shoot at someone, or move, your shield goes away. So if I am camping a known spawn location (they are easy to figure out where everyone seems to spawn), then the player I am camping at least has a chance. If they kill me, maybe I should L2P instead of sitting around hoping someone helplessly spawns in front of me? |

CCP said that they're working on a better spawn system for the next build; i think we are all hoping that goes well. Even so, there will always be spawn kills and killers. That's just the nature of tactical insertion. And with 15,000+ battlefields and hundreds of thousands of spawns there isn't an ice cubes chance in hell that each one will be perfect.
As for your idea, It's well ment, but it's pain killer on steroids. Add on top of that the fact that we can already chose to drop in as a heavy or a scout and even add def or speed mods onto that. |

You can drop in whatever suit you want, if you're dead before your screen has loaded you're still dead.
That said, it's good CCP are already looking into spawn point improvement. |

That was exactly what I was thinking ugg. Even with out the Drop pod and gliding in.
I played for the first time yesterday and was HAV'd at spawn, only once mind, but i can see it ruining games.

I agree 100%. Randomly spawning in on an enemy tank or in the middle of 3 enemy soldiers sucks and is nearly always certain death. This is one of the single most anoying things in this game to me. Nothing better than spawning into a death match with an 80,000 ISK suite just to be bent over the barrel of an enemy tank or tag teamed by soldiers on spawn in. I hope this is addressed soon. I for one will not be playing death matches once the instant battle is turned off until this issue is addressed. |

I realized this yesterday - enemy troops spawn behind me and kill me before Know they are there. Fixed spawn points would lead to goal-tending, and so are not an ideal solution. Spawning near team mates seems reasonable. |

In that event when the player starts firing the "invuln shield" should be removed...
being able ot shoot at a player before they can actually start moving is bogus. I know I've shot people who just pop up infront of me and they sometimes turn at the last second, but usually they are just standing still since that player hadn't actually loaded fully yet. So it is a big deficit to be spawned and viewable by other players before one actually is able to move around in game... So at the very least they should be invulnarble until they actually spawn and can move... |

once in a while I have spawned into the map only to discover that an enemy has already begun shooting at me while my screen is still black - this puts me at a disadvantage because, by the time I can protect myself, my shields are already being depeleted. |
