With the increase in damage to swarm launchers and the accessibility of AV grenades, it makes sense to have swarm launchers return to heavy only. It will make LAV's and dropships a bit more viable, if in order for someone who isn't specced into AV to use an AV weapons, he has to gimp himself slightly with a militia heavy fit.

I really enjoy using a swarm launcher with light armor, but I was just going to post the same thing. I really think any heavy AV weapon should be useable only by a heavy armor suit. It doesn't make sense for a light armor with an smg to suddenly whip out a multiple missile launching weapon out of their thong to take on a tank or one shot a LAV (which REALLY love doing.) |

I'd prefer them to be a light weapon. Heavy already has one AV weapon. |

I would suggest a lock-on time based on the size/mass of the locked on vehicle. this would make the LAV the hardest to lock, the DS the second and the HAV the easiest to lock on. Also makes sense lore wise as we don't get radar alert on lock on this must be gravimetric/infrared aiming devices ;) And the heaviest tanks need the highest power and thus have the highest lock on profile. |

I'm kind of torn, now. I can see your point, but I like my swarm launcher. How about a light and heavy version? The one we have now is the heavy, and the light has the damage of the pre-buff (or somewhere in between).
Edit: Or the light version is smaller, therefore has a smaller ammunition capacity and launches less rockets in a swarm. |

Timothy reaper had a nice idea with a light and heavy version. This way a fast squad of scouts could take out tanks as well as one or two heavies which have to deal with their heavyness in return. Sounds like a nice balance to me. |

Ammo capacity for a scout dropsuit for "heavier" weapons should be reduced accordingly. Sure if some scouts like to carry around swarm launchers let them, but remember the scout dropsuit is built for speed and stealth, not to carry heavy loads of ammo. |

I play as heavy-Av and med-AV. Diference is huge - mobility and nanohive in plus to med-AV. As heavy-AV is pointles to run, move, lock.... You are dead meat. Every rock is problem, Every vehicle can crush you. You shot few rounds... and bye bye. As medium-AV at last I can go where I want. Hit and resuply. More succesful job is done.
So you choose: med/low-AV or heavy -no- AV ;)
Better idea . Only at heavy - self powered stationary AV-launcher. You move (slowly) at designed place, deploy this mini-instalation, and back to work as heavy. |

No. The Heavy already has a Heavy Only AV weapon, and are likely getting another one next build. If you want creative loadouts at all in this game, then no. Otherwise it is just another class based shooter. |

The swarm launcher is large enough for a heavy... But I like it the way it is. |

I think in time, swarm damages will be debuff. and it should remain a light weapon so you can still make mixed Fitting and offer various possibilities to players. |

I'd like the swarm launcher to go back to th pre-nurf damage level of 350Hp per warhead not the nutered 300Hp its now at. We were told it was a temp reduction for corp battles implying that it would be returned to full power later. well it is now later, WHERE IS THE MISSING POWER? I a new heavy missile weapon system is brought into the game I would like a single missile with a tandam warhead, designed to attack from above, like the current Anti-tank Javelin system. This game is set 21000+ years in the future, it only took 2000 years to get to modern AV weapons, we need future AV weapons as well as classic weapons. |

swarms are to powerful as is and i hope ccp is considering bring them back down.
i dont agree making the swarm of heavt only, however a heavy missile launcher can be made for heavys but leave the swarm to lights its realy are only AV weapon
however i realy like the idea of each suit having diffrent amounts of ammo for the weapons they carry |
