Why the hell are tanks so bloody hard! ccp need to sort it out as it is really spoling the game....
AV Nades do nothin! Swarm launchers do nothin!
only wa to kill them is to have a perfect tank ur self, and if u didnt train for them from the start u get owned!!

those tanks that arent damaged much by AVG or swarm launchers are probably of higher grade and have more resistance modules than u can normally handle, all in strategy |

They are extremely hard to kill. I have a proto forge and all my heavy skills to 5 and several tanks take no damage from 3 nades and three forge hits. Then some go down easy so i m sure there are different levels of tanks out there.
I travel with a squad of four tank hunters and we have a hard time killing anything above gunlogi.
Honestly the game is no fun to play when there is two or more tanks on the field. |

i know there are diffrent types of tanks but they are jus well and truely to powerfull. I do go with a squad of tank hunters as well put there r normaly 2 squads cos of the corp we created, but still 7 swarm launchers and nades jus dont seem to do sh$% against them! jus seems stupid.
lets hope they will sort this out soon cos its making the game unplayable. |

Tanks are hard to kill. Yet I've been in several games where both my team and the opposing team have lost them. Most annoyingly often before I get killed, and manages to respawn with my own AV setup to participate. Obviously militia tanks die fastest. they are not worth a lot in their default loadout. Tier ones take a little longer to kill, but are often manageable with two AV guys. When we get the webber and other AV modules, they should become even easier to kill, which is actually a problem.
The real tough nuts are the Marauders. Especially the Sagaris is a headache and a half. But the exaltation when you kill one is worth everything. A squad of AV guys can kill a Sagaris, though it may take a little while, it is deflatable. Add a dropship, and you are near certain of killing a lone Sagaris, as none of it's own weapons have tracking ability against that DS. |

oh my god missles don't one hit tanks? that sounds so unfair! i mean any one can drive a tank but it takes true skill to lock on and let the heat seeking missles follow the tank. |

Hopefully the PTB will turn off the "temp" nurf on AV weapons they put in for corp v corp battles. it was hard to damage high end tanks before, it is neer impossible now. |

Sorry, I disagree. It was easy before, now it is a challenge, nothing more. The new problem we are now facing is that we have to break their spider tanking.
Sometimes it's in an LAV running behind the tank. If you see a white line between the two, kill the LAV first. Really, always kill the LAV's first :P

i've 2 questions about tanks. may be a tank-play could help. 1. do i get the tank back in the end of a battle if it is not destroyed? 2. do i get a tank if i hecked one and it is still mine in the end of the game? |

It was pointed out in a previous post that the damage reduction stacking system is currently broken. The Damage Control stacks unmodified with the standard resist modules, unlike in EVE where it follows the same diminishing returns.
While tanks are strong enough with it, the fully upgraded armor/shield tanks can get 80+% damage reduction with 8,000+ HP, effectively bringing well over 13k worth of effective HP to the table. So... yeah... kinda broke. |

Numbers like that make me lol, seriously all the nerds pulling up numbers need to spend the time in tanks and actually realise it's all a crock.
Sure you might be able to strecth your HP that high, but you'll regen next to nothing. You certainly wont out regen an entrie set of none milita swarms.
Try speccing into some real AV and not the free militia crap with that useless Heavy - Shock loadout.
It's getting seriously boring repeating myself, but I see it time and time again. Idiots spawning with that fit then running at my tank like it should die in one shot. It's useless, get a real counter for tanks instead of spitting in their general direction. |

They require teamwork. I'd lvoe to see a 4man squad full of AV that is actually organised. Squad leader calls a target, they fire swarms at the same time.. I doubt most super tnaks would survive... Or they'd at least be hiding the whole match. 4 AV people gets 3 people and tank to hide or die. Not bad.
BTW, WP needs to be issues more frequently for 'trying' to kill a tank. Right now it seems that you only get WP for hurting armor. |

Apply the amount of time it takes to lock onto said tank, and the distance rockets have to travel. If a tank is mobile [Which most are] Then you're either going to lose the lock before it's tracking, or you're rockets are going to slam into an obstruction. If you put in the word tank in the search bar you will see how many people are upset with the way they work right now. Tanks shouldn't be invincible, and the way top tier tanks work right now that's exactly what they are. Someone who took the time to buy, and fit their tank isn't going to let it die, much easier to run back to base and let it heal. Which is exactly what happens. If this is the way in which tanks are going to play out in release, then I'll go find something else to play. Whether you drive tanks, or despise them this is the truth. When a tank driver is on your team they steal all the kills. When you are facing up against a tank you always seem to get killed, or an AP guy will run you down while you're trying to hunt the tank.
It's frustrating, and needs to be addressed. Or CCP is going to see a lot of players drop off after next patch. |

how about lose or reduce the charge/lock time of AV as of now it is suicide to try and a lock a tank they can fire atleast 2 rounds to your 1 AV round never mind the second round you are already dead regardless of wether it is militia or proto.

I have killed 2 gunnlogi in same match. Temp av nerf is part of problem
Coming fix forge gun damage unnerfed and range boosted swarm getting +20% damage stacking penalty on resistance modules fixed(damage control is not suppose to have penalty, but hardeners were meant to) Hav turrent rotation and hav speed reduced remote rep cooldown increased rail splash damage and radius reduced But hav are getting more modules to fit and I heard engineering and electronics skills will start applying, I heard.
Should be a nerf, but adds more options of modules for drivers, so tankers may not mind nerf since it also gives new toys.
Last build I could solo a sagaris, one particularly good game I took out 4 tanks (including a sagaris and a surya) before I was killed by other infantry.
Tanks can be killed now, not enough though. Over nerf is bad too. CCP's plan for next build sounds like good balance to me. If tanks are nerfed to much av guys won't have any to shoot at. |
