I see so much emo forum banter about this weapon or tank and those guys vs these people, etc.
Let's put some data into our opinions. How many skill points do you currently have? How often do you play? How many skill points do you get on avg during a match? Isk? What is your k:d?
Let's give ourselves some objective data and see if it changes any opinions
Howard Sanchez : currently just passed 4 million sp, currently about 1.5 million isk balance
Keep about 20 logi suits and 15 of each other Teir 1 (scout, assault, and heavy) stocked up. No vehicles in stock
I get, on average 4000-25000 sp per match. That's a big range. Probably 18k avg. and usually 120-150k isk per match
How about you?
Edit for more info: KD: .52 and I put in several hours/day on avg |

last night I passed 6.5mil sp
90% of the time I'm in a dropship so my sp can go from 5k to about 70 so avg of around 30k sp a game
isk normally is around I say 150k to 250k easy
last I checked KD was around 1.33 but I could care less for that since I normally get 0/0 in games as a pilot
and I play just about everyday for countless hours but if i guessed at least 10 hours but thats because I love this game and got nothing better to do
EDIT: my loadout normally is around 550k isk due to the dropship |

I have a little over 4mil SP and I usually get 30k-60k per match, average around 45k. Lately I've been running a lot with people from my corp (ZionTCD) instead of going solo and I've been getting a little more - last night I went 85k 72k 95k. My main loadout costs 15k ISK and 3 AUR, and my 3 other fits are all BPO stuff. I have around 10mil ISK banked. ISK per match varies widely depending on if we kill enemy tanks but generally I get 150-200k per match. |

7 mil sp, 13 mil isk. I usually run a militia fit with a standard ar. Have 100 good logi fits, about 10 mil. I play most days, however long I feel like (when not working 11 hour days). 13-25 give or take is normal for later in the day sp gain. My k/d is 1.78, but I don't give a kitten about that. |

4.5 Million SP, 5 million ISK, K/D is 3.8
On avg, only using AR, nanohive ground and pound I avg before the SP boost 30 to 48,000 in SP per round and 120 to 250 in ISK per round. No tanks, no LAV used. I will capture CRU's, Installations, ammo depo's. From time to time I will go forge gun to counter tanks and LAV's, that usually gets me an extra 100k in ISK.
Largest SP amount was 148,000 in 1 round with 42 kills and 4 deaths, don't remember ISK but I think it was something like 200K.
Hope this helps Howard. Cheers |

2.5 mill sp
play for about 4 hours a day except on weekends where that skyrockets to probably 10 hours a day.
sp reward falls between 2k to 65k, average probably being around 12k depending on what I bring into battle/how early in session it is.
Just passed 10 mill isk. Rewarded anywhere between 100k and 250k isk a battle.
KDR is probably around 1.0. Haven't checked, don't care.
40% of games Ill run a free jeep with free dropsuit so 0isk spent in those. 40% Gunnlogi 650k fit. 20% Viper 380k fit. |

Thank you all for good data. Although K/D is not important to me either as far as a measure of epeen length it does represent a data point about our most frequent in game activity ( killing & dying).
That is why I posted it. Thanks again everyone. Every time I read about someone else's numbers it raises great questions in my mind:
How much more effective, in terms of isk and sp gain is running with a squad with comms?
How effective can a newish player be with vehicles in terms of keeping a positive isk flow?
We all have feedback and opinions about these topics but seeing information and data helps us make better decisions

See, this is great! Deadpool has about the same total sp as I do but earns, on avg, a ton more sp per match!
Does he play less than me? I don't think so. We all started this build at the same time. He kills a ton more than I do on avg. what keeps his total sp close to 4 mill?
Is it the skill game throttle that we all think CCP has in place? Great info. Thank you |

1.5 million SP, almost all into SMGs and sidearm skills.
Yet the stupid gun is still terribad for me. Almost to fully leveling SMG operation, resting at Level 4 right now, almost fully leveled weaponry, after that all my skillpoints are going into sidesrm skills and the extra SMG operation proficiency.
I get crap returns from each game, around 20,000 SP for the first game and 4,000 thereafter. This combined wih constant hard freezing and bugs make me able to gain around 40,000 SP per day if I play for an hour and a half.
Its really slow, and boring. I should have gone for AR instead. Yes, it takes DAYS to even level a 1x skill up to level 3. -_- |

J'Jor, thanks for this! This is feedback from someone who has really tried to specialize.
I have a habit of spreading my skills Everywhere. I have all suits skilled to level 1 and most weapons between 1-3. My support skills are the same: very broadly spread. J'Jor, how is your KD? Do you feel like an effective and useful part of the battle given your current approach to the game? |

Good questions Howard, running with a 4 man group and using comm orders does help in both SP and ISK. Many 4 man groups with a tank, will put defend orders on the tank to get more warpoints, ISK and SP's from the squad commander bonus.
Would a new player go vehicles early? Unless you knew about them before hand, had a good idea of what to use and how to use it, wouldn't most new players go a different route?
If a new player used LAV's, with minimal shields and armor, it might be effective if that player knew how to crush other players or use the squad commands on the LAV to put defend orders on it to gain extra SP's.
What about extra things to give you ISK and SP's like nanohives, drop uplinks, capturing installations? A new player could concentrate on those to get more ISK and SP's. |

Well this might be a good indication. The other night I ferried around my squad in a dropship. 2 people on guns, one droping onto cleared objectives to cap. The guys in the guns got excess of 20k sp. I got less then 10. The guy who jumped out and captured points got over 250k. Isk reward was similar spread. Capping points/supply depots/crus appears to be huge to the sp game. |

I play maybe 1-2 hours a day though, weekends maybe 3 hours if I have the time and patience for it.
I also only play at certain times, which is info new players need as well. Monday through Friday I work like most of you, but as I am in Colorado my game time is perfect for when I get off work. If I can I get on at 5pm MST play for 1 hour and get the most SP's for each round, then at 6PM MST (8pm EST) the server resets and I get 1 more hour of peak playing and SP's to maximize my time of playing. If I plan on playing on Saturday all day, then I wont play past 6pm on that Friday so my Saturday playing will get me the max SP's.
Hope this all helps, learning to maximize your time in Dust is the key to playing well.

Only gear unlocked above standard is all the complex shield and weapon damage mods, and adv smg. Rest is militia or standard. |

Ow would like to also point out that last build as a non tank driver I got over 2000 more kills than a tank driver I know. Yet the tank driver had 5 mil sp more than me.
Worked it out at the time and the Tanky was pulling over 1/3 more sp than myself. |

I play almost exclusively as a sniper (DS3). Stats are:
2.4mil SP ~2mil ISK at any time ~7.0 KDR
On average, my rewards for a match are:
SP: 15k ISK: 100k
My contribution during a match usually consists of:
1-2 nodes captured 10-20 kills 0-2 deaths @ 30k ISK per death
Exceptions to this pattern include:
-That tiny ambush map in which sniping is rendered useless and I'm forced to play in a manner that I don't find enjoyable (Assault). GG Dust design team, GG. -Occasionally I'll act as gunner in a tank/dropship. Usually this only happens either at the start of a match, when gunner seats are still available. SP/ISK rewards in this case vary greatly, mostly dependent on how bad the tank pilot is. Usually the payout is less than if I were sniping. -Sometimes I'll get sick of all of the LAV's roving about and I'll swap to a heavy. The payout for doing so is nominal, but the satisfaction is enough of a reward by itself. |

KAbarakh, have you been playing this current build from the start? Do you play throughout the week and on weekends?
I ask because you seem very effective at your chosen role but your total sp is significantly less than others |

I'm of the opinion there are certain areas with SP caps. So killing 20 people will give less SP than killing 10 and reviving 5. I also think squad commands are highly important. Tankers score high on kills and assists, and if set as a defend order, they get loads of points. Most SP from any game I've played this build I played lots of rolls. Uplink, hive Logi first. Then Dropship, then assault to cap and kill, finally AV to remove enemy turrets.
1 man armies are rewarded well. Just seems infantry need to be more diverse to gain maximum Sp.
I have no skill to lvl5. Only lvl 4, as prototype gear is inefficient both in regards to ISK and SP. |

I played every day for the first week of the current build, then not at all until about two nights ago. Sniping is not as depentent on SP as other roles. A sniper's best defense is his brain and the terrain. The charge rifle is probably too good for how easy it is to get. Very rarely do people mount an intelligent counter to an effective sniper. |
