There needs to be more than just a single indicator of a person's "skill" in a game like this. Relying only upon K/D ratios breeds elitism and turns communities into nothing but cesspools crawling with the worst humanity has to offer.
Vehicles destroyed, players revived/healed/, how many times your nanohive or spawn beacon has been used...these are the things that people should look at.
I'd rather have a guy on my team that's 6/15 and has destroyed 6 tanks than a guy that's 10/0 sitting on a rock 500 meters away from the main engagement.
Please add more counters to the scoreboard. |

Since we already have the concept of warpoints in the game, why not just them? |

As they are now, war points seem too vague to indicate anything, and they are not indicated at the end of a game. The only thing anyone sees at the end is K/D ratio. |

There's not going to be that one indicator that shows skill, we need a very wide variety. Everything from heals to vehicle types destroyed needs to be shown or tracked in some way.
There were plenty of times last build where I went negative or broke even keeping a tank or two off the rest of the team. |

I can't believe that KD ratio is going to remain the only thing. Right now if you Show Info on someone in the Leaderboards or during the game or in any chat channel there is a big empty window. I imagine at some point this will be filled out. There are a lot of other problems they need to work on first that is making the game excruciatingly frustrating. |

Agreed, there should be more indicators and please add hacking to that list. I died alot re-hacking points just to keep the guns firing on the enemy MCC.

We really should have more... hell, look at TF2. (will insert link to snapshot of TF2 scoreboard when it isn't 2 in the morning) They have Kills, Assists, Deaths, Destructions (breaking engineer buildings), Headshots (which only snipers and spies can get), Backstabs (only Spies), Healing (only for Medics, Engies, and certain specialty equipment), Medic Assists (for when Medics are healing a patient who gets a kill), Invuls (for when a Medic uses and Ubercharge, or uses one on you), etc etc. Half of these stats you can't even GET unless you are specific classes, and yet they are here anyway in the standard scoreboard. Hell, a Medic can lead his team on Medic Assists only (its an achievement for [insert deity here]'s sake), without a single kill and all the deaths a healer naturally attracts. Not to say DUST is (or is not) as modular and expansive as old mann 2fort, but take some lessons from the old, and give everyone a chance to get good points for doing a good job.
....give me ******* Medic assists, dammit. |

Better stat tracking like TF2 would be really cool. I also like the way World of Tanks does it, in that your actual win/loss percentage is basically the #1 factor people pay attention to. |

warpoints alone will still favor k/d whores in most cases. either lower WPs gained by killing people or increase WPs gained doing other stuff, or find a different measurement
also please add (extra) WPs for rehacking something, for killing someone who is hacking and kill assist points when someone healed by me kills someone else |

I like the idea of decreasing WP for kills.
EDIT: Also your other suggestions are good as well; they seem like common sense, in fact. Why not get bonus points for stopping someone in the middle of an objective? |

I think we need REVIVES, ASSISTS and HACKS. Those are the most important to understand if a player went 0/15 because he/she sucks or because he was doing something useful for the team. |

What we need is a true leaderboard. Leader in Kills WP, Leader in Assist WP, Leader in Vehicle Assist WP, Leader in Revive WP, Leader in Vehicle Kill WP etc. So everybody could get their recognition AND competition at the end of the match.
Or make it a Top 3 with your own score in brackets if you are not in the Top 3 |

Meh, you can easily dress it up as an efficiency rate, plus they're easy to do. You can bet yer ass there will be people doing low risk, low reward things (long range sniping in pub matches, hiring someone to get murdered by you repeatedly, bringing a tank to a knife fight, etc) to buff it the same way people hunt mining ships for killmails. Everyone will simultaneously know they are useless at determining who will cost less corp resources, yet not give a damn :L |
