Whats up with the unique weapons. I just got an advanced assault rifle from salvage that isnt available on the market and has a value of N/A. Are these weapons going to be included later in the build? can i at least be able to restock them? the one i found shoots faser than an advanced assualt rifle with minutely less damage. |

They're called Officer Variants, Some military or pirate officer had these weapons special ordered and spent alot of isk to have them made to thier tastes, they're some of the most strongest and rarest weapons you can happen across. Youll be lucky to have a foot locker of these things on a low budget.
They are not commonly restocked, in the future the most common methood of restocking would be buying rom other players.
We may also see "Army" Variants as well or rewarded weapons for factional warfare that outperform even the best npc sold bought gear these will be lower in price point but easily more reliable to stock up entire warehouses full of. |

There are some rare items that can't be manufactured or bought. You can only find them. Once the market goes live, you should be able to buy/sell them for insane amounts of ISK. |

Example of isk difference from EvE, average buying price-selling price( sell at this price and buy at this price instruction casn be given in market, like a classified section ad)
rocket launcher I 4,109-21,000isk, standard
arablast rocket launcher 142,877-859.996isk, meta 4
caldari navy rocket launcher 1-30 million isk
pirate rocket launchers had no sales, but are offered at 35-49million
deadspace and officer would cost even more, hundreds of millions for a module is not uncommon for the good ones
Those krin's assualt rifles could go for millions once market is established. Selling these items will be how many regular people buy advanced/proto gear. Sell 5 krin's assault from salvage to rich merc, buy 100 duvolle with the isk. In eve I would sell a shield extender mod that dropped and then buy several fully fitted ships with the isk. Alliance backed, really skilled, industrialist/traders and mainly pve(bots/rats don't kill as often as real people) will have the isk to buy this stuff. |

Thanks for the help. I was totally confused when i got 5 gm-7 compact assault rifles. i was like   anybody see me get this? then i was like  ooooh, unknown variant. then i was like  its advanced assault rifle. But since these are in game already, are we to assume that the buying/ selling on the market may be coming soon? because it would seem cruel to give these out when only a small percentage of people who get them will be able to use them.
@ icytiger i got a sagaris as salvage in a battle. cant use it....yet  |

Got the same g7 compact as u, im also getting tons of adv scrambler pistols that are n/a. Though i just wana sell stuff as id be a tankers dream, as have a ton of adv/proto gear for tanks |

Once people call sell salvage, more will be able to use the better gear, this will increase isk earned in match. So better gear, even more isk. Not being able to sell is what is keeping so many in militia. Prices will be fine once we can sell. |

Another advantage of the open market is that all the less used weapons will be selling for less, so if anyone can figure out how to use a tac assault rifle....you will have the cheapest weapon ever |

The npc seller and player made will run in parallel for a time. The only way player will make profit is to sell cheaper then npc, there are skills to train to lower cost to make items. Those without skills won't be able to make an item for less then they could buy it.
less used weapons may be cheap, but not many will choose to make them. |

You all do realise that this set of weapons and armors and modules and such in the BETA we currently have won't be the full list in the game? They will most likely come in to the market on release or the 2013 update (along with a lot more goodies!). |

The contract system has auctions in EvE.
The officer items we are getting as loot will probably never be player made or sold by npc, they be resold on market though.
We have seen only fraction of what will be sold by npc(eventually player made), but there will always be stuff that is only gained as loot and npc mission rewards.
for example in eve
tech 1=player made
tech one named=drops from npc/rat/bot
tech 2=player made, much more complicated
faction=purchased from faction with loyalty points(lp) given for aiding that faction
pirate faction=as faction but for aiding pirates or dropped from killing pirates
deadspace=dropped from pve in deadspace complex
officer=drops from officer
storyline=set reward for doing a mission in arc(series of connected pve missions)
All items not made by players are still resold on market
I would not be surprised if prototype items are not npc sold at launch, and are only drops/bought with lp and resold on market for example.
I would guess we will end up with about 12 different standard scout suits(different stats, not different skins) instead on current type i and type ii. That would give each race 3, expansions will probably bring that to 5 or so some day. |
