I am in the same boat. I have tried push left to talk and turning push to talk off, but no one can ever hear me. The headset works for mass effect 3, so I am not sure what the problem is... |

i gotta say, this is the same for me too.
my headset is synced with the console, and i know it works as it functions fine in the audio setup in the accessory settings. i get the symbol coming up for voice comms (assuming the little speech bubble thing on the left is that symbol) and i have push to talk turned off, with voice chat turned on. i even press push to talk to see if it makes any different. i dont have any feedback on whether or not its sounding. so im not sure whether no one else has comms, or no one can hear me.
either way....an issue :P but YAY i finally got into 1 match ..... even though it froze at the end :D progress! |

I must have been a bug because everything was fine the next match. I was in a party with 2 others. None of us could talk. Next match was fine, third match only my friends could talk but I could not. And yes my voice chat is turned on :) |

I see, reply here if you experience it again. Hopefully it should be more stable without us working on SiSi at the same time |

Off by default is better.
Though, that was my opinion with the last Dust build, where most people left their mics on high sensitivity. |

The same thing happen to a friend and I, we couldn't hear each other and we both turn push off and chat on. |

Voice chat on by default is a bad idea. More people are going to want it off rather than on unless they are squading up with friends. |

I didn't have any problems with my voice chat the last couple hours when I could get into a game. One of my buddies that I squaded was having problems though we had a persistent squad and he couldn't hear anyone. |

Ok i am going to try here I have no voice comms i did port forwarding voice chat is on ptt is off and still no voice through my tv or headset which makes it really hard to play this game since spwning is so messed up already i have been on IRC i have posted multiple times and all i have gotten is links to survey's i mean really and then yall wonder why there are.more players not spending money than thier are....ohh and i was also told if i buy UVT itwill solve my problem. Why would i buy a chat engine if the free one does not work where does this make sense. |

Ive only heard one person in the past week and it sounded like they didnt know they were on - they were chatting with someone in the room with them. Admittedly im just playing randoms (not squaded) but surely typical FPSers have headsets - Im not a regular FPS player and even I have one. |

It seems like every new game has problems with comms and grouping, this one is no exception.
Mics sometimes work and sometimes don't.
The default is stupid.
Friends join, turn on mics, they may work, but either way it could kick you out with an internal error.
I think most people just use other methods right now because it's so bad not because they don't want to. |

All i know is this is so much bull i have tried so hard to get a developers or gm's assistance and or attention and nothing i mean they do not even have a way to mail them i read so many posts about ohh we want your feedback but honestly i see no way that thier attemping to make themselves attainable. This is so crazy once again i have done every troubleshooting you havr posted on your stupid forums i deleted and teinatalled the beta i even had my cable provider send a tech out yesterday to help make sure i have done my port forwarding correctly everything is right on my side it's time for you guys to try and fix this problem I can not believe i am going on a week and no type of real human communication except for i e- mailed support and got a link to a ******* survey i mean wtf is that once qgain a bad rep will travel further than a good one and if you do not wanna end up like another game that will remqin nameless since the last person i read to kention it was silenced that happened pretty fast i must say. You should pay attention to stuff that makes the game playable it is really had getting people to want to play with you when they can't talk to you right now i have to say you tech support reqlly sux. |

Ohh yea and IRC is a load of crap also i went on there spent an hour trying to speak to someone thwn when i finally got a GM he tells me ohh i just had someone else tell me the same thing unfortunatly we don't do the trouble shooting on here have u mailed support i swearvi wanted to throw my ckmputer at the wall when he asked me that i kean what is IRC for if u can not get real time help with a problem it's basically a lreal time forum DUST user support blows huge chunks you should all be ashamed |

And still nothing no voice comms thru my my headset or tv and no one that can fix it cares a simple thing like chatting in game it is amazing how much not being able to talk to the other people really changes playing a game. Never had and or have any problems with voice comm in any other games three different people have tried to help and all say the same thing. That the problem is not on my end so there is only one place to look for the blame. |

I've not been able to get mine to work for the last 2 builds since i got a UVT. |
