Seriously, just got home from work. Have been reading forum post all night about the new build. I fire up the ps3, start Dust and the next image was shocking 53,000 minutes to dl 2277MB. This is obviously a server problem anyone else had this experience and know a quick fix? |

Wish I could tell you. Maybe unplug your modem and router, wait 30 seconds plug your modem back in. Once all the lights are solid plug your router back in.
My roommate came home from Kung Fu class tonight and I was on. He started his download and jumped in the shower. 15 minutes later we were partied up and unable to join a game. |

will deleting dust from the ps3, re-downloading from psn network help? only took me 20 mins to download the previous build. |

I'm having issues like this too. My internet is just fine but my connection to the PSN is complete ****. 5 hours in 28% done, with another 900 minutes left on the DL. Can't figure out what the problem is. Doing internet tests and my speed is exactly what it should be. |

I always considered this to be the curse of PSN, previous build dl'd in about 20 mins, this build is gonna take 2-3 hrs.
Never seem to be able to get consistant results from it, never found any good solution to the problem, just make sure to download over a wired connection, ps3 wireless tends to be super slow at times. |

This could be it. I'm using wireless because I have no choice. My connection would have to go along the entire house. Guess it's time I picked up a 100 meter Ethernet cord and lots of tape. |

I always seem to have bad luck with PSN also, though instead of running a cable through your entire house, first you could just move the PS3 near the router and plug it in and use a computer monitor to see if it increases the speed before you go through the trouble. I discovered recently that my PS3's wireless uses less than an 1/8th of my 40mbps connection, once I plugged it in it bumped all the way up to 1/2 of it ( about 27 mbps) |

Yeah got same sorta issue perfect connection but still failed out 15 times so far getting really annoyed with it, I've gotten maximum 7% downloaded............. this is an issue that needs to be fixed |

Yeh I've been having the same issue, my DL speed is 4.0mpbs, nothing too spectacular compared to today's standards. However the 2277MB software update says its going to take 650+ mins to download when it should take no more than 90-100 mins. I live in Sydney Australia if that helps, really want to play this weekend, please help. |

I dont know anything about any of that stuff. Forwarding port, static ip im clueless about all that. ive always just pluged my ps3 in and had no problems |

just do it dont ask why there are too many problems but lets try cover them all
and if you dont know how to do something say so
DMZ everone make one
make your ps3 run on it as a static
turn off media server in the ps3
and use these as your dns DNS1 : 208.67.222.222 , DNS2 : 208.67.220.220
