This is probably the difference - pilot suits should give bonuses to flying these. This is CCP logic in Eve, so why wouldn't they implement it here?

I'd have though the Dropship skill would provide some of it. I know that low LAV skills mean the LAV skids and slides all over eh place. But pilot skill and suit makes sense. The suit is just not there.

At the Options part where you remap your controllers, there-¦s an option for dropships.

I-¦ll try the different loadouts to see iif any of them are the old controls.

Just get Gud. Took me five myrons to finally figure out the trick to the darned thing. And, I have to say, it's KITTEN AMAZING

the dropship was a bit overpowered.. i was flying it with one hand practically, one of my gunners xveneryx went like 38/0 twice.. average was about 20/0.. the only thing that opposed us was multiple proto forge gunners.. swarm launchers were a joke. i actually felt sorry for the other team.

i'm anxious to see the changes and learn to fly the new one. if it can be mastered with practice and something to do with the pilot suit making it fly better it might be pretty cool, and give the dedicated pilots more pride in their role.

Its taken all of 40 of my dropships so far. I cannot function as a dropship anymore, only as a fighter without guns or players.

Get gunners, and fly the thing like a fighter. You can easily dodge swarms and forge guns now. Also, buffer tank to the hilt.

Uhm gunners bail and nobody wants to spawn despite being near stragetic places, they cant handle the high speed they get sick and its simply unsetteling for most occupants.

btw i can afford about 900 dropships once i transfer my EVE pilots isk to my merc so your point about isk is moot when the actual game goes live.... so yea i have abit more than "38 million" in new eden

lol, i wanna see the faces of the poor corporation of guys who get steamrolled by a blitzkrieging team of marauders, vtols, and dropships that keep coming back. Some of these EVE corporations make money faster than they can throw it at a Dust corp ingame.

When things get serious among political wars in the EVE universe, prohibitive costs in Dust are a non-issue.

I'm no dropship pilot, but i had a few vipers lying around. In my opinion the drop ship feels MUCH easier to fly. Maybe i haven't ****** around with it enough or something, but i like the no DS's.

yea i had a big smile on my face until hit with a swarm launcher and fell into a squad of 16 enemy infantry but at least i killed there medic before they waxed me lol

If you know anyone with a copy of BF3, try chopper flying on there. it feels somewhat similar.

learn 2 fly. Good drivers and pilots will become one hell of a commodity. No corp wants a player who loses more than he is worth. If you can get good, you will be highly desired.
