I think the Forge Gun should either be able to lock onto people or have splash damage, so of you hit the ground close to their feet it will still kill them. Having to hit an enemy directly on with a weapon that's meant for ranged use, which you can't even aim with might I add, is very difficult. |

It does do splash, just not a lot. |

Might I add that the forge gun is technically meant to be used against vehicles, so I am rather happy it is slightly difficult to use against people who it will basically one-shot without fail...
It one-shots people. |

You don't need a lock on. Use the force luke. |

It does 200+ splash damage and can kill most infantry in 2 shots as long as you hit close. It's fine how it is, you went supposed to be able to tag infantry dead on with it consistently as its mean to be used against vehicles. That being said if you learn to lead and time your shots properly you can do just fine with it. |

Neither of these two buffs are needed. Just a bit more consistent ground collision with some shots. |

it's fairly powerful anti-personnel weapon as it is, although I wouldn't mind it having some nice extra shield penetration against vehicles to keep tanks on their toes. |

The only thing I want for my Forge is a tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnny bit tighter dispersion . I should not be missing a CRU when I'm standing right next to it ! That and fixing the mysteriously absorbed shots that happen from time to time standing next to a rock and I'm golden .

forge guns are fine. They hurt and they certainly dont need a lock on feature.
Only thing they need is a charge meter and a speaker that tells me that im pretty. |

You must not have been here for the Replication build, where a shot within 3 feet of you was lethal no matter your equipment. I realize that's a bit of an overstatement, but those things did a ton of splash damage last build. They're supposed to be AV kinetic-kill weapons, thus their splash should be negligible. As it is right now, I've so far one-shotted 2 snipers at medium range, and killed 7 people from the top of a tower with my Advanced Assault Forge Gun. I think they're fine the way they are. |

Should a weapon which is amazing for killing vehicles really be an effective infantry killer? I already one shot a fair number of infantry with a basic, crappy forge gun every game. My little 1300 isk or whatever gun instantly destroys any infantry build you throw at it, based entirely on one shot hitting or not. That's pretty goddamn powerful as-is. If anything it needs to be toned down. Every time I waste some guy in fancy armor as he pops around the corner, or snipe some guy minding his own business, I honestly feel a bit cheap. |

Have you ever tried using a forge gun? They are so inaccurate they will miss 1 out of 6 times vs a stationary target from a stationary position, never mind "running and gunning." Hell, running in a heavy suit while trying to shoot a forge gun is like any other suit's walking, only slower and the shots are far less accurate. They are worthless against infantry unless you can land a lucky shot - truly lucky. Your best shot vs infantry with a forge gun is to shoot at their ankles and hope the splash damage gets them. |

Actually your best bet is to switch to SMG at close range. Medium range your screwed. The only thing I really don't like is moving EVEN SLOWER when charging the forge. IMHO, not needed. |

Not complaining - I was addressing the guy I quoted and his relation of a forge gun to insta-death uber nuke weapon vs infantry. I LIKE the way the forge gun is right now - it takes player skill to use effectively, not just in-game skills.
