I think I will do that...
I really like your attitude. Frankly I don't care how many points I get as long as I can do my part in a squad. Of course K/D helps SP a lot but I know that with some persistent practice and some good tips I will get there.
I like playing AA precisely because I can always find a good pug squad. Suppressive fire, medic, flank and when necessary taking the attention away from the really good guys who do the killing. My reflexes where never that good, mainly because I didn't put enough time into FPS games, nevertheless I really enjoy playing a well lead squad. Perhaps that is why I enjoy playing AA so much, I started playing it right from the beginning when it was common to play with ex or active duty military. They knew how to put you in place if you kept screwing up but they were never rude or self-centered about it...
I am working on my Prometheus ( stealth is my kind of ship ), while I keep flying the Grimsnes. Of course with low K/D ratio flying even that ship can be expensive. Also as long as there is no proper pilot gear I am also trying out different logistic setups and enjoying it. |

We have descriptions of similar officer positions, but obviously no one knows how that is going to work on DUST yet. This isn't EVE. It's not going to be the same, look the same, or work the same. We have 4 different types of officer positions now (yeah, for MW3 we have that many types of officers) and I have several more officer positions than that posted for our DUST corp. None are set in stone yet. We've done our homework. We've got EVE players in our corp already, and are fully prepared to handle everything once we know exactly how it is all going to work. We dont have everything figured out, and you're lying to yourself and everyone else if you think you've got it figured out. Too much is still unknown.
Any more sarcastic questions Crieton? I can do this all week long if you want. I deal with smart @**'s all day in the real world, so I'm well rehearsed. |

Hey guys,
Good thread. You seem pretty mature about it which is enticing.
A few questions:
A) Is this Adults Only? I'm fond of children, I'm more fond of them if they're quiet and more so if they're quiet, not in my game and on the other side of the planet.
B) What's your EvE presence like, and do you mandate DUST corp members also bring their EvE toons across? Not a huge issue, but I run a small industrial corp with a few mates on my main for the Iskies, and it would be a real pain to have to disband the damn thing just to get into a DUST corp.
C) Do you have a minimum level of play-time? A lot of EvE corps do, if you aren't on enough you get booted. No issue, but some of us get pretty busy at certain times (Like EOFY, I don't get to game at all pretty much)
D) Are you running an SP minimum? Granted hard to do at present, but a lot of EvE corps use it (EvE doesn't have KDR) as a pre-requisite.
E) What's your TZ? I'm in AUS and I've been in no less than 3 corps that claimed to have members in my TZ, but I was invariably the only one on (And if you aren't an officer who's allowed to recruit, then you're pretty much gonna stay that way - and no corp worth anything will make some dude they hardly play with in a different TZ an officer.... So it becomes a pain) . And a strong 24/7 presence in DUST will be a bonus.
A mature corp with some good guys with decent comms would be fantastic, I much prefer playing on a team to lone-wolfing it. But I'd rather be a lone wolf than get stuck with some of the brats you hear on voice-chat.
Hope to see you in game and good luck in DUST!

Septem Mortuus wrote:Hey guys,
Good thread. You seem pretty mature about it which is enticing.
A few questions:
A) One of our questions on our clan application is AGE. We generally do not let in anyone under 16, unless they are a family member of a current member or some other special circumstance. Even then, if they take up the mic with crying or garbage they are kicked. We kick out a LOT of people.
B) We do not have an EVE corp, though several of our members currently have EVE accounts. Since we're not sure how things are going to mesh with EVE yet, I can't promise anything, but as long as there is no conflict I don't have a problem with it as of now.
C) Yes. I'm not checking your hours played every single day, but we have officers who's job it is to identify players who are not active and who are not helping the clan. I have a family and job too, so I completely understand that things come up, but if you're AWOL for weeks at a time, or don't help us when you are online, you will be kicked out.
D) Not right now because it's beta. I don't play the beta that much because it's still so horrible. As the game progresses (when it is released) we will definitely have SP minimums to join.
E) I am East Coast time zone in america. I have 2 australian players, 1 from new zeland, 1 from the netherlands, 1 from suadi arabia, 1 from south korea, 2 from france, 2 from germany, and a handful from england and canada (not 100% which ones are coming over to dust). We have players on from around the world, and almost always have someone online. Many clan members here in america work 'off-shift' jobs where they play at crazy times too, so there's always someone online. We are also part a HUGE alliance, and you will have access to be able to play with anyone in the alliance in the rare case that there are only a few D3LTA FORC3 members online.
I hope that answers your questions, or the questions of anyone else. If you have any more, please feel free to ask. Hope to see you in game and good luck in DUST!

Let's see what we can do, I just have discovered that my PS3 headset with the mic is working properly - only my kids have been playing PS3 until now and thats what happens . I also have only been playing for two weekends and have not the full spec of a proper pilot. Ultimately one starts with spec and skill designed for a specific role, and judging from what is available on the marked things will get much more complicated as new stuff arrives.
What I am sure about is that Gallante ships in general are ideal for armor tanking, because of the amount of low slots.
Prometheus will also have an ability to cloak so once I get it I will try flying it armor heavy with armor resists, as a heavy flying "tank" bit slower then other dropships but with the ability to appear suddenly and hit hard. |

Definitely made for armor tanking. I usually use a Grimsnes because it has more CPU and PG, I just pick gunners up through voice chat. |
