Detailed feedback on DUST 514 beta and my opinion on what it needs at launch.
1st off id like to say that I really wish for this game to succeed, its an amazing concept and for once id love to see a dev deliver on promises but as it stands the game currently has a lot of issues imho. This feedback thread isnt just for what I think is wrong with this build but also what I feel the game needs to get correct or have in place at launch to make this a worthwhile game.
Keep in mind this game is going up against 2 very big franchises in Medal of Honor Warfighter and Black Ops 2. While those 2 games arent F2P , F2P =/= automatic success either.
Hit detection: this needs to be spot on, dont care if u gotta make it hitscan but it needs to be spot on, I currently play BF3 on PS3 and I honestly dont have to lead shots AT ALL from the ranges I engage ppl at with both Assault Rifles and Carbines yet in this game even at closer ranges than what I shoot ppl at in BF I find myself having to lead shots still , either make the projectiles a lot faster or make the damn thing hitscan either way the shooting mechanics need to be worked on because if u cant get this right dont expect ppl to play your game for more than a few days when they GÇ£testGÇ¥ run it.
Balance Newbies vs Vets: This is something u NEED to get right as well. While naturally the cost of gear will somewhat limit pure DUST mercs from running around in hisec with proto gear till they get rich u also said EVE players will be able to transfer ISK to their mercs......nothing is stopping the rich null alliances from endlessly feeding their mercs with proto gear to run around in hisec and any losses they incur will not even dent these EVE alliances bank tbqh.
At the same time casuals playing shooters naturally will want to feel a sense of progression the longer they play and not feel limited to using standard gear always in these pickup games, this is where u have a problem....if these casuals are forced for years to use Standard or militia gear or have to spend real money just to run a few hundred copies of their top end gear they are gonna leave. While they are getting more SPs to upgrade their skillset in FPS games these casuals care more for cosmetics and having that new shiny piece of gear to use.
Normally id say Hisec matches limit only to Militia and standard gear, Lowsec/FW up to advanced and nullsec everything goes but null is a year off ur release so a problem arises when limiting ppl to certain gear restrictions when we arent getting all of the game open at launch. Another head scratcher on how u go about this CCP cuz again this is another make or break for ur game.
Features to be included at launch: VR Training Room, Corp Battles, Planetary Conquest mode for FW, taking and developing systems for DUST mercs in FW up to a certain extent.
Lets start with the VR room I suggested in this thread. This NEEDS to be in at launch, while others might not see it as all that important especially casuals this is very important for any organised corp/alliance out there especially those highly competitive ones. Practice makes perfect for us, we like to go over strats different setups etc. To add to the thread linked above since some ppl think a cost should be implemented with it then fine a one time fee for MQ and War Barge facilities (either ISK or AUR based) should be implemented. As for what gear should be available to use via the VR it should be whatever gear u currently own...so for those saying GÇ£well what if I wanna try a new weaponGÇ¥ simple buying ONE copy from the market should allow u to use it as a BPO ONLY in the VR room so u can continuously test. Wanna test the lolCreo? Buy 1 copy and test it in VR as much as you'd like. Seems fair and 1 copy wont hurt u ISK wise for testing purposes.
The VR room should also come with a set standard maps to practice FULL sessions on but in terms of larger gameplay like attacking ur enemy territory it should allow u to download a map plan of the enemy layout, let me explain in detail how I think this should work.
Lets say an average planetary conquest map takes 45mins-1hr to complete the invading team should not have access to the map layout for VR until they actually see the map 1st hand via their MCC and ONLY after a set amount of time they spend on the map should a layout be up for dload for their VR room, so if as defenders we know it takes 30mins out of a 1hr long match to dload the map layout it forces us to try and finish the enemy quickly or risk having them come back with a better strat and forcing us to change our layout every time someone attacks. Having a time limit on when u can dload the layout also prevents attacking teams from just coming in with militia gear 1st go around to get stomped in like 10mins and still acquire the layout it makes it so they at least know they gotta last a certain amount of time on the map if they wanna use a bait strategy.
I think something like this will greatly enhance tactical play and always keep defenders on their toes and having to change up their defensive layouts or risk teams always knowing where everything is setup.
Corp Battles, this needs to be in day 1, dunno how exactly ur gonna implement it since this is yet another thing u have not given any info on. Are corp battles gonna be handled like War decs? In that u dec someone for certain time and date u want the battle to take place? Really would like to know how u plan on doin this. As a competitive clan leader competitive matches are whats gonna determine how long we last on this game because stompin noobs 24/7 is no fun for anyone.
Planetary Conquest mode for FW, since I keep hearing that FW will be in at launch for DUST it makes me wonder if this game mode will be as well? Since we are essentially capturing systems for our factions then it would lead me to believe that yes this mode will be apart of it. |

Which brings some questions the playercount is 24v24 last I heard officially confirmed (hearing rumors of 32v32 now) so doesnt it make sense at least for these CQ modes that the player count be 25v25? 24 ppl on the ground +1 in the MCC? That way 1 squad wont be always short 1 guy on the ground.
Taking and developing systems in FW, while we know we can get resources in 0.0 what about FW? I dont expect us to get the full extent of developing/puttin infrastructure on a planet like in 0.0 but since FW is gonna be like a stepping stone to 0.0 it would only make sense to at least have some planetary interaction for DUST mercs in FW.
Lastly voice comms and party system: Hate to keep goin back to this but out of any game ive played MAG has hands down the best comm system any console game has to date, im not an EVE player so idk what EVE has but for MAG squad leaders could talk to their own squads and on the fly without having to press select to bring up a big menu or anything that would take them out the match for a few secs they could switch to a squad leader channel where they could coordinate with the other leader privately, and in the largest gamemode the OIC which will be the commander in DUST case had the option to broadcast a message to all players or talk with leaders in the private leader channel. It helps cut down on the noise and lets ppl focus on coordinating the different squads. No one wants to hear 24 ppl yellin out callouts on mics all game.
Party system needs to be thoroughly tested, we DONT want a BF3 party system where the squad size = party size, thats just being lazy and at no cost should a party system split u up and put u on different teams like BF3, if ppl have to sit and wait in the war room till the other side fills up SO BE IT but make sure EVERYONE in the party ends up on the same team
Overall thats my feedback on the beta and future of the game as a whole. Beta is progressing too slow imho, every build we get like 1 new thing to test and like 2-3 fixes and 2-3 new problems. If u plan to meet this 2012 deadline which is 4 months 2 weeks from being over then u will need to pick up the pace. We were suppose to get webifier nades this build? Nada. Would have been actually NICE to test this with all the current vehicle spam nonsense goin on as well tbh.
Hopefully this game makes the 2012 projected release date cuz quite frankly BF3 and its community are terrible for clans. |

Good post and I'ld say I'm with you for about 98% of it. Couple of the things I'ld like to comment on...
Newbies vs Vets - as per our brief convo I'm in agreement. I've said that CCP shouldn't pander to the casual crowd by dumbing anything down but in order for Dust to succeed we need them in game for community, match counts and micro-transactions. On their first evening they need to be hooked on the Dust experience not repeatedly Proto stomped by the clans and players that have the beta experience to know ahead of launch their skilling and gear routes. Repeatedly eating Credo rounds on your first night will be fun for no one. I've said Hisec should be segregated to Militia/Standard, I have no problem allowing Proto in Lowsec however. A possibility is to have some type of Concord gear enforcement for Hisec but possibly allow essentially the same type of suicide ganking that occurs in Eve. If you want to pound on pubbies in your Proto gear then you go in knowing it will be one fit one kill. The kdr crowd won't risk that yet it still allows the "do what you want" belief that Eve is and Dust should be about, even in Hisec. Possiblly the nicest balance of allowing a new player to learn, grow and be entised to null but keeping the HTFU ethos.
VR room I'm 100% for. The whole mid match VR map of enemy grounds thing you described...hmm not sure about that so I'll reserve commenting.
Corp battles...better frickin be there...damaged BF3 and practically killed Brink...CCP don't expect clans to be waiting around for ever for corp matches to be implemented, I'm not even talking about Sov battles, just simply going head to head with other corps even if it's just in Hisec.
Having a 25th or 33rd player...you been reading my diary?
And yes the pace needs to pick up, not asking CCP to rush Dust out the door but it is getting to the point where I'm having small concerns about a 2012 launch. Let's get a big update or two so we all feel we are heading in the right direction and our faith is in good hands.

All of Mavados points should be followed:
VR - This game is meant to be hardcore and competitive, give this one to the competitive community. Naysayers (who I cannot mentally comprehend) to this idea will scare away the competitive crowd.
Comms - Squad leader being able to switch easily to squad and MCC would be an amazing boon to the game, underscore that competitive edge tenfold and be a shining symbol of hope for any competitive clan out there.
Corp matches - tbqfh i would be in shock if you failed to deliver this at launch, and ive been an unsung recruiter for this game, converting people to it who then in turn have converted entire clans into getting on the Dust bandwagon. it would badly damage my faith in CCP, and no doubt the bulk of your community. Cannot stress how much of a fail this would be, it should be a no brainer to any dev claiming to support competitive gamers, but yet almost every dev has failed in this aspect even after promises, so some scar tissue and fear still remains in me.
THIS ALSO SOLVES another problem, fear clans just stacking highsec? Create a corp match system and you have greatly eliminated the problem. People pub stomp out of necessity, not willingly, and if they do it willingly they arnt a skilled clan and a pub can probably still put up some type of fight (also revert to the suggestions given on Noobies vs Vets, in combination with this, pubers really should have some room to breathe)
Party system - Entire team party systems, just re-read the first part of my previous description. Don't make me regret ever falling in love with you CCP.
FW Assuming and expecting that Corp matches will be in at launch and some way to properly organize them with the community, I can give leeway of about a month, maxxxxx of max 2 and tbqh that will be pushing, not so much for me but for the clan im a member of and others i know of in different clans. You have been flaunting a juicy steak infront of a pack of rabid, hungry, dogs (Starved PS3 competitive gamers... just incase someone didnt catch that >.>), so you better deliver or so help you god we will savagely eat the man holding that steak, and you will have a pissed off Eve community to face when console clans start dropping out and they start singing that "i told you so" song because you didnt release on PC.
Noobies vs Vets - This is a fair point. Highsec should really be dubbed down for the casuals, in hope that those casuals one day yearn for something more and head to lowsec/null. If they are heading into highsec to be raped then its not going to be fun (as already stated) and ive seen first hand people already claiming Dust a fail because of beta... which is stupid impo... but hey people think it and not giving some help for highsec folks will damage the community numbers.
Im basically just echoing Mavado, but i hope an additional number stressing the importance of this helps you guys be decisive about these suggestions.
I also understand there may be technical issues that may limit you but this is why i stress COMMUNICATING with the community, if ANYTHING on here wont be at launch, then send a devblog on it and explain why this will be difficult and if it can be done, give a truthful answer as to when you see it being complete. But tbqh, EVERYTHING on here should take priority, and especially Corp matches and Party system , if that isnt on launch.... I will never let a game developer steal my heart again, and probably quit gaming for a while.
Just because i use an emote, doesn't mean im not serious.
Edit: Another incentive to make sure that Party system and a functioning Corp match system is at launch, is that it will breed patience with the community as proof that you can atleast provide the most basics to a 'competitive FPS', something that (quite mindblowing) has yet to be done successfully on a console game.
Edit #2: YOU SHOULD POST THIS UP IN YOUR OFFICE: You have been flaunting a juicy steak infront of a pack of rabid, hungry, dogs (Starved PS3 competitive gamers... just incase someone didnt catch that >.>), so you better deliver or so help you god we will savagely eat the man holding that steak, and you will have a pissed off Eve community to face when console clans start dropping out and they start singing that "i told you so" song because you didnt release on PC. A reminder of whats at stake. |

Mostly this is a good thread, but I will address one MAJOR point.
Needing to lead shots by a wide margin Gëá bad hit detection.
And it also isn't a bad thing. It takes some getting used to, and the hit detection IS wonky, but the need to lead your shots isn't entirely about that.
Yes, projectile speed on almost all small arms (ARs, SMGs, and particularly Sniper Rifles) needs a major increase, but that's a totally separate issue to the game's problems with hit detection.
I've fired into a target's back with a shotgun at point-blank while said target is manning a turret (not moving at all), seen a shield flare and hit markers, BUT NO DAMAGE. I did NOTHING with a point-blank shotgun hit, for NO reason. You sometimes see projectiles "clip' through vehicles and enemy soldiers, triggering the on-screen hit markers and the shield animation, but not actually applying damage.
This has been addressed as a known issue by CCP, and it has supposedly improved significantly from the previous build (I wasn't here), but it still needs work. |

As previous poster said, this is a good thread. It's way to rare to see well written feedback on the game that can open a really usefull exchange. So here's my two cent. Still, i wouldnt ever compare Dust to any other FPS. Let's face it, not the same crowd. Also, those shiny FPS dont usually last for long. Dust should. I'm naive but i think people are addicted to getting their next shiny weapon because they havent been offered anything else... In the beta, we dont have anything that really IS dust yet. So now, to the specific points.
Hit detection - Agreed it still should be way better. Especially the lead needed when shooting at people. I like having to anticipate a target's movement. It adds skill. But it's way too strong at the moment. Especially against scout rockets ! oO Also, RE and nades not blowing up. FG not hitting even with the red cross tilting etc.. Game needs a lot of technical polish we all agree there. But, if every build offers an enhancement as big as the last one, i think we can be confident.
Now on the gameplay's aspect. On various point, i'm not that worried.
VR -Okay, i agree good training option is a key feature. But i wouldnt want CCP to invest too much time on that one. What i really dont want to see, it's a way to rehearse every battle you plan on doing. Want a training field ? Seems more than reasonnable. Want to train specifically on the "map" of your ennemy's district ? I'd say no. To me, it would kill one of the most exciting stuff this game will offer. The anxiety of jumping into something more or less unknown. And by the way, what would be the point of downloading the ennemy's map while on the ground ? You're in a warbarge over the planet with scanners that allows you to have an holographic map of the area.
=> So that's what you got : an holographic map. And you should only plan from this. Maybe add some specific War Barge module in the future to enhance the details such as installations etc.. But being able to play any map before attacking it ? I'd say no. => I want to go to battle and be all "OIC, What the **** is this rat hole we've been sent into !!! Why didn't you warn us about that damn cratter. We're sitting ducks here !". And maybe lose and come back next time more informed. Using my teammates ingame footage to better prep the assault. => VR map shortcuts so everytime you attack, you already know glitches, shortcuts, easy positions ? No thanks.
Training should occur on default maps, not especially VR stuff. And later on every district your corp own. And of course, with some "fake kills" system so you dont waste any Fit.
Comms - I'm really not worried on that one. If they just copy\paste Eve's comm logic, It will be spot on. Still here's some key elements : => Having different Audio channels depeding on your role like the guys said before : Grunt : squad chat and proxy chat. SL : Squad chat / Commander and SL chat / proxy chat Commander : Entire section chat \ SL chat \ proxy chat if on field.
=> proxy chat being always activated. Seems logic enough ^
Corp matches - Okay so here comes my major disagreement with you guys. I take for granted that you all know MAG. And we blamed that game asit wasnt offering a decent option to set clan battles. But, in fact, MAG was supposed to be a never-ending massive clan battle between valor, raven and sver. It failed big time i know So then we had to sync server queuing to have decent games.
=> So now, the disagreeing part. I DONT want to see a "Clan game" option at launch as it wouldnt make sense. High-sec : The purpose is to accept a contract, complete it and get cash. That's it Factionnal Warfare : There, you fight for an ideal, a race. No matter what is the guy's specific clan against you. He's a freakin ennemy and needs to die. Null-sec : There, you got your very meaningfull clan-wars ! Got a beef with a specific clan. Go and kick the **** out of it. Not just by posting a video of the scoreboard at the end of the game. But by TAKING its stuff. Destroying its work. Gladiator Arena : There you'll get you e-sport stuff. It's been announced so you'll get it.
=> Oh, and the beauty of it ? It is that you'll get clan wars in HS and FW as well. When EVE corps will start sending cona tracts. Do you think they'll let random apply ? I dont think so. We already know that planetary defense and contracts will have "Who can participate (corp, alliance, randoms, standings)" mechanism. So when you'll be playing EVE issued contracts. Expect to face a corp ! |

Noobies vs Vets - Again, call me naive but i'm not especially worried. ^^ Noobies will play High-sec. And high-sec should have very different contracts to offer. Think of it like mission level system from EVE. There shall be lvl 1 missions that will earn few SP\ISK, lvl 2 offering a bit more, lvl 3 etc.... Also, it wouldnt be too hard to add some sort of SP cap that would prevent too skilled players to go back to low level NPC contratcs. And, to the opposite, it shouldnt be possible for a new-comer to go play lvl 4 NPC contract. Let's just use the standing mechanism from EVE. You're new ? then you dont have enough standing to go take lvl 2 contracts from a specific NPC corp. You're an old-timer ? Your NPC agents knows you and wont let you do crap jobs. There you go : this is fixed and its an EASY solution.
We can also add the PVE missions that will allow newcomers to try and grind some SP without actually facing any big time player but by playing WITH them. standing LVL cap should be added too to avoid having a noobie crashing a very high lvl PVE mission and jeopardizing the whole mission.
=> Also, this standing system avoiding mixing too quickly Vets and Newcomers will mostly facilitate Corp encounters in high sec as well. When your corp will have the necessary standing to deal with the biggest NPC contratcs, who will have enough standing to face you ? Other corps probably or very well rounded randoms. Wich at this stage will probably be in a corp anyway.
Party system: - of course, all of the above can't work without a decent party system. How should it work. Pretty simply in fact. => War room lobby capable of receiving as many players as one team can hold. So if the game is 24vs24 then you should be able to invite 24 people in a lobby. => In this lobby, you should be able to define Squads. And those squads would be saved for every game launched by the lobby master. Audio channels should be available (see above) to avoid massive confusion. => Commander should be able to move ppl from squad to squad. => Corp Lobby could only be created by Specific Persons pointed out through the corp tools. => Every corp members should have access to a list of every corp members and see if they're online or not.
FW and conquest mode - According to the text interview i had with Brandon Laurino 2 month ago (yeah i'm a journalist :D), FW was to be available at launch. Still i agree it would be nice to get more info. No more Weapon\Suit Devblogs. Let's hear about game mechanics guys ! Also, i dont think we'll get to manage a big part of the districts in LS\FW. Other than maybe having Commander and logi being able to replace downed structure, or having Orbital backup from EVE etc.. I dont think we'll see district management until 0.0.
Still, infos would be nice ! |

aight this is where i disagree with u Caz
1. Corp Battles can be handled like War Decs with a fee but with a twist in that maybe u can set a date and time u wanna wage a war with this corp? , Gladiator arenas tbh i dont see them being successful if they do it large scale and with vehicles, they said gladiator ARENAS would be arena combat with more traditional fps modes like ctf, tdm, dm, King of the hill (add that ccp) and a Search and Destroy 1 life mode perhaps (another idea CCP....damn im givin them away now)
Thing is NONE of those modes work well with large player counts and vehicles, tdm which we got in ambush right now will just be a vehicle fest and if its arena combat like they say then the maps shouldnt/wouldnt be big enough for vehicles to properly move around and to top it off gladiator arenas are in 2013
2. You mentioned how lolMAG was suppose to be a never ending war with valor, sver, raven and it failed.......u do realise alot of socom clans that were on valor left the game in the 1st month because they were no private matches to practice and setup clan matches right?
FW is all fun and nice and i look forward to it at launch as it will make pub games interesting at least but lets be REAL....FW = Better version of MAG, U have factions at war with each other and lolrandoms can cost u wins just like in MAG.
One of the WORST things in MAG was winning all night long only to see ur randoms kept losing and not making a dent in the lolcontract race thats when alot of clans realised contracts were **** and fighting for them was ****, same thing gonna happen in DUST over time, corps gonna realise that the randoms that enlist in their faction to fight are gonna hold them back and lose alot as usual and then corps are not gonna care as much anymore.
They will still care cuz FW will provide some benefits but i guarantee u ppl flock to SVER...i mean Minmatar.
Dont hype the game to be hardcore and competitive then leave out essential things that competitive clans require from a shooter. Tweak War Dec'in for DUST for corp battles tbh
0.0 it wont matter that much as randoms prob wont be involved there but at the same time how many corps will go into 0.0? and that also depends on how much we can be INDEPENDENT entities in 0.0
If pure DUST corps/alliances have to bend their knee and kiss ass to EVE alliances just to participate and hold planets for themselves then that goes against what CCP kept sayin how DUST mercs can be independent and build up their own empires and hold their own planets for themselves.
Which brings another question......EVE alliances arent gonna just LET US inhabit the planets in their space so how CCP accomplishes this "independence" i eagerly await.
LASTLY for the war room: that table in the middle where we can view the star map.......make that a tactical map where squad leaders and commander can view an overview and setup strats before they deploy to the battle

NPC Faction warfare in HighSec is very different from Corp warfare in LowSec and particularly in NulSec though.
NPC factions are MEANT to be kept, to some extent, balanced and incapable of really gaining too much ground against one another. The noobs will hold backt he factions, just like they did in MAG, keeping the balance. The clans will form corps, and move out of those battles, and corp battles WON'T be involving randoms/noobs, because that's not what managing a corp is about. People will fight over territory - which will be persistent territory they can claim, and own, and have control over, and make a profit from.
That added layer of metagame playtime adds a whole new dimension that other console FPS games don't have. |

Do you actually know how FW works in EVE ? Cause the way you're talking about it makes me think you don't. In MAG, it was about phantom contracts that noone ever understood how it was working exactly. Here, we're talking about conquering solar system (a lot of them) through the possession of different orbital structure. Winning a battle will have an immediate effect on the solar's system sov for the major empire. And if i'm not mistaken, ennemy wont be able to take back a structure that has been won by your faction right behind.
Then, about war decks. Again i dont see how it can be added to something other than 0.0 War Deck in EVE means you can attack any members of the opposite corp no matter where you are. Without fear of being engaged by either defensive turret or NPC police CONCORD. War Deck an opposite mercenary force, what's the point if they dont own anything ? For Fun ?
=> I'm sorry but a "corp battle" function just for having a corp battle function is pointless imo. Dust is a game that is supposed to bring meaning to battles. Compromising that with an option to just go and fight the other guy without any specific agenda other than just brag about beating [XXX] is imo stupid. Same reason why i'm not in favor of vehicle free battles (unless they add building environnment) because there is NO REASON why some mercs would restraint themselves from using vehicles when their goal is achieving their contract by all means. (and yet, i hate vehicles lol. but my point is about the greater scheme of the game. Its background and coherency.)
=> And in Gladiator Arena, there's no reason why we couldnt get vehicle free battles. As they ARE organized battles in a sort of sport environnement. Want e-sport ? Gladiator Arena is what you want. You could even ask for LAV race. Dropship piloting contest. Knife only tournament. pre-Defined SP\Equipment battles so everyone is on plain field. etc... Also, Gladiator Arena is supposed to be in the first update of next year. In early 2013.
The main strength of the Eve universe is its background. Everything exists for a reason. Imagining two merc corps fighting each other just to decide who beats who is an aberration. Seriously. If i have to fight a specific corp, i want it to be for a good reason ! Taking their ressources. Striking back to avenge an ally corp. Fool them into thinking that this district i'm attacking is the main target while every other teams are attacking 15 solar systems from there. Or because they happen to fight for another empire, a specific contract from an EVE player.
=> THAT is EVE universe Corp battle. And that's why CCP anticipated with its gladiator arena as they know not everyone is able, or willing, to have other reason than just pew-pew to challenge another corp.
PS: Anyway dont be afraid. You can still bend the rules. Have a Capsuleer in your team create a contract with money from the 2 corps. Then fight and winner takes all. Corp match AND money. Sort of a pre-Glad Arena ^^ |

Mavado V Noriega wrote:Which brings some questions the playercount is 24v24 last I heard officially confirmed (hearing rumors of 32v32 now) so doesnt it make sense at least for these CQ modes that the player count be 25v25?
Party system needs to be thoroughly tested, we DONT want a BF3 party system where the squad size = party size, thats just being lazy and at no cost should a party system split u up and put u on different teams like BF3, if ppl have to sit and wait in the war room till the other side fills up SO BE IT but make sure
EVERYONE in the party ends up on the same team

@Caz 1st and foremost the game needs to make th 2012 release, at the pace they are moving at it wont. from what i know of FW u enlist under 1 of the 4 empires either ur alliance or corp or u can enlist as a solo player hence i said randoms aka solo player can cost u territory
and caz whether u agree or not the failures of MAG are fact. No corp battles = clans move elsewhere plain and simple. You will only find the MAG fanatics and EVE fanatics stickin around to stomp around on nubs till 0.0 is actually open and that is a long way off and seeing as the game prob might not even make 2012 release all expansions which they stated time frames for will naturally get pushed back so gladiator arenas will get pushed back and 0.0 implementation will as well
Ive been selling not only my members but other clans on the concept of this game for almost a year now, if the game doesnt have certain things in place at launch i cant sell ppl on a DREAM that it will come soon (tm) console players got no patience and we have ALL been sold false promises by every single dev lately so that makes me uneasy knowing CCP, a dev that NEVER did a FPS, is trying to bring hardcore clans and players into this game and deliver on their promises and make a 2012 release.
What i see happening and have started bracing myself for it is the same bs we get from every other dev, release half ass and patch later approach.
If we get no corp battles then dont call it a hardcore shooter cuz MAG wasnt it was a glorified zerg fest and noob farming ground and having to wait a year + for 0.0 and "early" 2013 (<---we all know its not gonna come early its gonna come like half way through the year) for gladiator arenas u are asking competitive hardcore clans to wait 6 months - year + before they can actually start doin **** cuz FW with randoms is MAG all over again ur gonna have corps winning as usual and randoms losing systems they are fighting to defend as usual same **** different coat of paint
MoH and BO2 launch this year, whether u accept it or not those 2 games despite being $60 will take away ppl from DUST should DUST not have its **** in order at launch
@ Garrett never mentioned anything about hisec afaik Faction Warfare is in lowsec and anyone with the correct standings can enlist for 1 of the 4 empires either as a corp, alliance or solo
in nullsec randoms wont be involved at all as it will be solely on YOU, YOUR corp and YOUR alliance
