Two points:
1. Dust is a sandbox not because of the fps mechanics, but because of everything that takes place OUTSIDE of the fps. The ability to effect sovereignty in eve makes it an critical part that game, and whatever you apply to one you have to apply to the other. If dust is not a sandbox than neither is Eve, and Eve is most clearly a sandbox.
2. Artificial caps have no place in a game like Dust, where the focus is on customization, not just of fits but of force composition by the commander. Placing caps limits the possibility available to commanders and reduces the amount of dynamic game play available. Anyone who wants caps placed on ANYTHING in a video game are looking for a more scripted and controlled experience where they can feel sure that their fit is min/max'd or that they are using the most powerful gun in the game. Well it is fine to want an experience like that, i suggest you spend your time playing single player games where you can be sure you are the strongest thing, rather than forcing your insecurities about skill on other people. |

People keep forgetting the other option.
Heavies aren't the only suits with access to Swarm Launchers.
Bring one of them on a lighter suit and you can still comfortably fill an AV role. |
