I have had this idea for the past few days and thought I would share it. Over time as players start to unlock better gear the cost goes up. Some dropsuits and dropsuit loadouts could cost a player over 80,000 ISK. On average I would say you earn about 180,000 ISK per match. But if I just earned 180,000 ISK on the match I have to subtract that amount of ISK I have just spent on dropsuits, weapons, and gear. Basically what I am trying to get at is I think it would be awesome and handy if at the end of the match is shows the amount of ISK that was spent during the match so you can know if you are turning a good profit or not on your loadouts. Just a thought, Now your thoughts please :) |

I would love this.
Right now the cost is in the name of my suit I am using. but it would require me to do more math out of game. Less time fighting.
+1 for the idea. |

Wouldn't mind something like this, would be hard to do with a EVE style market though. Maybe done with average market prices? |

This would be great as long as it doesn't create some weird data fetching stress on the server. I think average prices would do the trick as Victor said. |

Or you could do the math yourself? Just saying that it's not that hard to give a close estimate on how much you lost and how much you gained from a match.
Die twice in a match with the suit costing, say 10k / death and you get 134k from that match, how much did you profit from that particular match? |

I agree. When you fit your suit, you know how much it cost. Open up your smart phone calculator and punch in the numbers. It'll take no more than 5 seconds... 10 for the slower people You can do it while you're transitioning back to your merc quarters. |

This would probably be very easy to implement. There are three things (or so) I would like to see:
1 - The total isk of what I used up in the battle. This is based on the purchase price of the gear when I bought it.
2 - Replacement cost of gear lost. This can be based on low or avg prices of the market.
2a - A quick purchase button to reload the build (maybe)
2b - (advanced) configurable quick purchase where I can set threshold prices by gear piece. If the available prices goes over what I am willing to spend I am notified and/or the purchase is not made.
3 - a graph showing over time my isk won/lost per battle (CCP loves graphs, just look at EVE)
3a - this would be great for seeing stats over time. Mine, my corp, all of Dust.
Note: This should be available as a battle report via the neocom.

Maybe a wallet would be a good addition for the future like eve, everything bought and earned is in there. All calculated.Seems logical... But for now, just use a calculator. More pressing matters.
+1 for the idea though. |

Oh god yes, I love this idea! The appeal of having tallies of the drop suits and vehicles (especially tanks) and being shown a price tag on what I just scrapped is absolutely wonderful!

I also think it would be pretty cool if they could also show what the team had spent on the match as well. I'm sure it would be valuable information for Commanders in the future. |

Show after match which side had destroyed and how much ISK they lost from it. Taking into consideration the payout from the contract. |

This is a great idea. It could be implemented very easily, too. At the end of a battle we have a yellow outline around the circle that shows us how much ISK we've earned. The Devs could just add a red overlay that displays the cost of the battle going the other direction. On the team screen (The one where you check your rank in the battle) the same design could be used to see which side earned the most ISK and used the most as well.

I love this idea too. +1
I preferably though (when the market goes live) would like to see it done on the lowest current cost of the items. eg what is it going to cost me to replace now. The reason for this is that (when the market goes live) the prices will be constantly changing. |

If they do this, they should do it on material value (like how insurance in EVE is managed), rather than basing it on the price you paid. If you got good prices, it'll be fairly accurate. If you're buying expensive gear, it's usually a higher price than the "official" value. And if you had a friend giving you below-cost discounts, then you have more total income than the official measure. |

I really like this idea as well. At the close of the match, I would like a screen that shows me where all the ISK (and AUR) went.
I would like to know how much of my stuff was destroyed. And, I would prefer to keep what I paid for it as an attribute of the object -- so when it's destroyed, that number can be plugged in directly.
I would like to know whether I was paid enough to cover the cost of my stuff that got destroyed.
I would like to know the worth of things I destroyed in the battle.
I'd like to have team statistics too. |

I believe keeping track of how much your spending each game is up to the player you should know going into battle how much each suit costs and work out roughly how many you can loose and still make profit on the match. showing how much you win and loose in a match removes an element of financial responsibility and self management |

Alright, I'll share a few tricks from the world of ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) systems with you. (BTW, ERP is not some cool addition to EVE/Dust you can use to track stuff. It's a concept used in real world company management and usually cost upwards of a few $M to implement)
With ERP systems you sometimes implement a stock tracking module. What this does it keep track of your warehouse and the running costs of goods you own. What's the running cost of goods you ask? Let me explain. Consider this scenario (which is quite likely on the EVE/Dust market).
- Day 1 - You bought 50 ARs for 500 ISK a piece.
- Day 4 - You bought 33 ARs for 700 ISK a piece.
- Day 5 - You bought 21 ARs for 400 ISK a piece.
Assuming you lost nothing, you now have a stock of 104 ARs. But how much did they actually cost? Well that's easy. They cost the average price of all their purchases. That formula would look like this: AvgCost = ((50*500) + (33*700) + (21*400)) / (50+33+21) Calculating that gives us this: AvgCost = 543.27 ISK
With your current stock you have 104 ARs costing 543.27 ISK each.
Now you went and lost 7 ARs in a match. Calculating that is rather simple too. LostISK = 543.27 * 7 LostISK = 3802.89 ISK
So we now have only 97 ARs left in our stock but they are still worth 543.27 ISK each.
Now let's complicate it. After losing those 7 ARs, you went and bought another 15 for 800 ISK (EVE player caused inflation...). How much is each of them valued at now? AvgCost = ((97*543.27) + (15*800)) / (97+15) AvgCost = 577.65 ISK
So after those two transactions (losing 7 ARs and then buying 15 new ones) the new average cost of your AR stock is 577.65 ISK. If you lose any more ARs, that will be the price per unit you'll be losing. Same goes for selling them. Selling at less than that would be a personal loss to you.
While I don't think this clears things up for most (math hell!), I hope it clears it up for the few who do understand what I'm rambling about. |

i like this idea ik im always curious but most matches i gain money so i never have to wrry about cost but this would have to include the gain for the match as well mid match and idk if thats the way they designed it |
