2.5 million right now and about 500k is poorly invested :/
average 20-30k SP per match, which I guess isn't that much...a few kills and a few assists?
edit: I think the SP awards should be more evenly distributed based upon damage done to the target killed and not just getting the 'killshot'.
ie: give +50 to the person who did more then 50% damage give +25 to anyone who shot damage at the target and it died give an extra +5 for the killshot give an extra +5 if it was a headshot.
or something. |

1.5 as I only play a few matchs a weekend.
I was kinda hoping the gap between the high and low would be a lot tighter. I find it strange that the active players can out skill point the passive skill gain by close to 10 times as much. I hope for live this is tweaked so passive gains give more total points in a week than actively playing and grinding skill points. I would think it would be closer to EVE and maybe the active players can only get twice as much SP than the inactive players at most. Not close to 10 times more. |

I'm just shy of 3.2M but I've only been playing the last 2 weekends. I'm pulling in SP faster now though as I've found that I can make around 100k sp average per game if I take out some vehicles/installations with a Forge Gun kit before I swap to Assault. |

This honestly. I get about 120,000sp a round, using drop uplinks, tanks, nano hives, and hacking, and getting a good k/d ratio/ 10 kills 5 deaths , while also bringing the high level drop links with 10 second timers, and the huge 9 m range navohives that repair armor.
I've found it pretty easy to get to 6 million sp. Kill tanks and dropships, gets kills, hack things. jump in that turret at the start and kill the other turrets for like 40,000 sp. no joke.
I'm scared to think what I could spend 1 million sp on, maybe I should actually go for an advanced suit? are they worth it? they costs so much less last build :/ |

This times a million. the maxium per day should be to double your sp income.
imo. this is the most important thing dust will have to do on release. Make it pretty easy to get lots of starting skills. I mean make it a bit faster than eve. But at the moment I know it's just beta, they have the sp gain at 4 times normal. but I don't think that would be enough? passive income needs to become faster, right now it's way to slow even with active income sp down to 25%, I still think passive income should be a bit a faster. |

In my opinion it's worth it, even up to the prototype suit. If you're doing good then you're probably saving up quite a bit of money because your earning so much and you don't have much for expensive stuff to negate your earnings. By the time I got my prototype assault suit I was sitting on 12 mil isk, so bought 50 and have been restocking to 50 each time and finding that even when using the prototype assault suit every match I'm still coming out ahead.
Just so you know the prototype assault suit has:
3 high slots 4 low slots 1 light wep slot 1 small wep slot 1 grenade slot 2 equipment slots
The extra equipment slot is real nice, I'm using RE's now that I have it, guarding letters while taking others at the same time. It's good stuff. |

Been saving for the prototype assault dropsuit for a while, just don't know if it's worth it in the long run when I could be using what I saved on skills I pumped up electronics/engineering and got a prototype AR and type 2 assault dropsuit. Now I spend skills as I see fit, which so far has been some shield upgrades, repair upgrades (armour repair is ever so useful) and vehicle/turret upgrades. Currently I'm trying to get an advanced dropsuit (only 200000 to go...). Basically, I just decide what I want to get and work from there.
See I mostly just want my dropsuit to be able to handle a prolonged engagement, and as of right now, it isn't doing so well, my question is...is it worth saving for the prototype or maxing out the shields of my current dropsuit? |

In that regard DUST is like EvE where a good ship does you squat if you don't have skill to equip and use it the way it's supposed to be. In EvE the difference in a battle ship can be as much as 3-400 dps in tank and 400 in dps which is pretty significant and DUST isn't much far from that if you don't train your gun skills first. I trained sniper rifle and weaponry V and I haven't regret the decision to go for those instead of drop suit first, since with bare bones you can't fit that proto tier rifle without cpu modules even if it's a proto suit with bad support skills. |

a better dropsuit is a lot like having a bigger cup. it's useless if you've got nothing to fill it with. i suggest you stagger your advancement between suits, core skills, and stuff to put on the suits. with one exception for shield upgrades, you only need skill level 4 to use prototype shield extenders, so that's a good "high level" skill to grab early.
basically, you'll never fit a prototype rifle onto a militia suit without destroying the tank on it and/or leaving a bunch of empty slots, but at the same time a prototype suit with a militia rifle is pointless. now an advanced suit with an advanced rifle? with enough CPU and PG left over to fit a solid tank, and decent tank modules to use it? universe in harmony.
when people tell you to build to your playstyle, put some thought into your playstyle. no 1 piece of gear will make it or break it. like.. who would honestly summarize themselves as "guy who shoots prototype rifle" or "guy who wears prototype assault suit" you should consider every slot of the loadout as opposed to just that flashy creodron breach you see so many people running around with. |

Nearly 10 mil but it's spread a bit thin, however I have good support skills and I recently skilled up for a sagaris, which last game netted me 41 kills and 2 deaths (only 1 sagaris blew up and that was because my team mate who completely sucked took the driver seat when I switched to a turret to get a better angle on an enemy, won't be doing that again) |
