I took the plunge into drop ship piloting recently after spending half a mill sp and nearly bankrupting my self that is (little whinge over :) ) and have found the sp rewards are quite measly compared to being on foot, which given the amount of isk its costing you to put that bird up in the air is a little unfair, so i propose drop ship pilots should get an sp reward for players use them to spawn.
Also it would be nice if drop ship pilots got a share of sp from player who use them for 10 seconds after they leave the ship, this would reward the pilot for helping hack uplinks etc...
I feel these suggestions would do much to return drop ships to there most logical purpose and help stop instance that some players describe as dropship abuse.
and one last thing i think drop ships should hover in place when the pilot switches to one of the side guns to have a little fun |

It makes sense that a pilot (or rather owner) of a dropship should get the +15 Team Spawn points. |

Anything that rewards dropship pilots for doing what they are actually meant to do gets my vote. |

I'm sure I've seen a thread about this before, and I'm still sure it's a good idea.
+1 and another bump.
Dropship pilots deserve more points for making themselves useful. |

ditto. I can get 10x more point running around in a tank then a pilot and my dropship is nearing being maxed out. Doesn't make sense that pilots are getting the shaft. I would even suggest a bonus to a dropship that is near an objective that is captured. This would encourage pilots to fly close to objectives and try to defend the team while it is capturing a point. |

If you're near an objective, teammates are more likely to spawn in your Dropship, giving you spawn bonuses if they're added.
If you're near an objective defending, your gunners will be killing people, giving you Assist points for those kills.
I don't think a bonus for being there should be implemented on top of the bonuses you'll already get, unless Tanks and infantry also get a bonus for being close to an objective while someone else hacks it. |

+1, pilots definitely need more love. Been taking up dropships recently, and there is MUCH less to be gained in this, the epitome of a support role, as compared to driving a tank or being on foot. |

Seen this problem in too many FPS's, the pilot/driver getting screwed over. As a foot soldier who greatly appreciates the support ftom you flyers, youve got my vote:) |
