As the subject says. Only affects enemies. Triggered on deployment, effect lasts for a set duration. -50% movement and turning speed.
Anti-personnel and A/V variants.

+1 for this idea.
Seems logical that it would be included. |

Would be great for ambushes. I think what might work better though is a sort of "web fence", where you place two relatively visible objects and the web effect is on anyone/thing that passes between them. This way a team could set up a solid killzone, but an observant enemy could destroy either post to down the web.
Maybe it's just me, but I prefer items where if you're observant, you can avoid traps and such. I think doing something like this would trade off increased visibility for repeated use and a larger area of effect.
Thoughts? |

Agreed in that it should be destroy-able once deployed. Maybe similar to the Nanohive? The stasis field animates as green on a friendly's HUD, and red on an enemy's HUD? |

Only thing is, if the enemy can clearly see a web just sitting there, they'll never get caught in it; even the most noobly of HAV drivers will just blast it from a distance. It does need to be visible, just not too visible. |

I think the mine idea would be cool, AoE after they get in range and then the web slows them down by whatever % depending on the lvl of the web.
Should look like RE but not be detonated.
just a thought from reading the title. |

There is that. But I still think they may be useful, if only as defence. A tank or dropship that has to get close to an objective might have to plan for dealing with a bubble. |

Problem: You can see it.
Solutions: Make them more robust. |

Making it trigger-able like a Remote Explosive would allow for some nice ambushes, I think. Then it only operates for some length of time - 5 seconds? - just long enough to give your team an advantage.
It would also get around the problem of easily avoidable bubbles, since they wouldn't be activated until needed. |
