I was just in an interesting round.
The game started up and for once everyone was talking and communicating. But I noticed something odd, as I said I was attacking on the right with my HAV I heard my teammates saying there was a tank on the left. As I took C, I was hearing people saying to defend it. When I told my teammates I was hacking their rear CRU an enemy drove halfway across the map to shoot me.
Finally, I heard a teammate saying that we need to destroy the MCCs shields....
I was on offense.
I realized that the whole game I was tied into the other teams voice chat.
Anyone else had this happen to them, and do you have any stories to tell about it? I feel kinda ridiculous that it took me half a round to realize it was happening. |

Sometimes I'm hearing just my corp, instead of my squad. But I guess that's because I didn't change the communications settings. Until we can have our own personal corp of which we can communicate with each other. My team mates use Mumble to chat with each of my mates. |

I actually quit a game in the briefing room area and went into a new game to try and get on the same team as a friend. I could still hear the voice of the first room's team while i was in the second room. |

I have had weird chat glitches as well. When I tried to join a game but I lost connection to the host. I was still put into a chat channel. The other people in the channel were playing in different games to each other and some were in the MQ like me. They belonged to different corporations as well. I couldn't figure out why we were in the same channel. |

I spent all of yesterday in voice chat with people not even in my game, most of there were not in any game, either in Lobby or stuck in black screen. Best part is that they could not hear me eventhough I could hear them. |

There's almost always an open mic when I am playing, are you sure you turned on your voice chat option? You can get at it from the option menu in the neocom. |

I've also experienced many glitches with the voice chat. If I drop from a game sometimes I continue to hear the voice chat, and it doesn't switch when I change games.
I've been in games where my voice chat partners were bathing themselves in compliments as they annihilated the other team, except I was on the team getting crushed. |

I tried to join the EU server but got a black screen and just voice chat. The Neocom was still responsive so I joined the US server and entered a game, but was still on voice chat with the EU server. Voice chat disconnected when I finished the match. |

I had this happen on Tuesday. There were a bunch of gankers sniping on top of one of the big Ambush map structures absolutely wrecking my team, but their only ground support were a couple of scrubs and a crazy knife scout. I found a safe corner and started picking off the snipers. Somebody kept screaming "f**K off!" every time I got one; eventually I figured out it was the guy I was plinking and not anyone on my team. |

Only thing I've had was voice was working perfectly for our team, except for one guy, who would not stop SCREAMING that he could hear the other team. Every minute or so with this hysterical tinge to his voice "WHY CAN I HEAR YOU?!?!". The times between were him screaming about every single thing he was doing at that very moment or his internet being crap.
Personally, I think mute is a higher priority than crossed comms, just because of that guy. |

I have had the beta for about four weeks and this whole time, I am able to hear perfectly fine (or what I believe is perfectly fine). However, no one has ever been able to hear me.
I have tried using my Logitech mic as well as my turtle beach, both work when I test them in the home screen and both work when I play other games. This leads me to believe that my mics are fine and that the issue lies within the beta itself.
If other players are having similar issues, it may explain why a lot of you feel people are playing without mics. I would encourage you to talk and communicate with your team even if you do not get any responses/limited responses. |

I get this a lot. Almost every match I was in last night I would hear players on the other side. At one point I was hearing a guy talk about how he killed me with a random throw of a grenade through the poles I was behind. |

Same issue here, all day today.
I played a few hours worth of rounds and I am constantly plugged into the enemy team and unable to communicate with my own. They can not hear me though... I can just hear them.
It does make me wonder if this perhaps is some kind of game mechanic gone wrong. It would be awesome to be able to hack into enemy comms. |

i posted this topic earlier and it happened twice to me and function differently both times
this happened twice now. first time 1 of the enemies were able to chat with our side through mic for whole game. second time i was able to hear them but they weren't able to hear me also my other teammates weren't able to hear them. its kinda cool but needs fixing because you can't plan anything out knowing that the other side could be hearing everything |

It happens seemingly randomly, but I've had several voice chat oddities including
- Talking to the other team
- Talking to people in different games
- Talking to people while in my merc quarters
- Talking to people who are in their merc quarters while I'm in game
- Talking to people who have quit out from the game (I kid you not)
- Talking to people who have signed out of PSN
Sadly I dont really know how to re-create these issues since they seem to be random, however they do lead to some hilarious situations where I kill someone's tank and start cheering while they start raging at me on mic. |

Same thing has happened to me a couple of times.
First few times I thought it just odd voice problems, then I started asking in chat and discovered that I was often the ONLY person not on the right channel.
Not sure how it happens, but I have noticed it 5 times now. There may have been more but its impossible to tell when you are in a match where no one else is talking. |

I think a few games in a row I played I had BOTH teams chat at once.
A lot of people talking over each other, but I heard people talking specifically to me as a friendly, then mentioning me as an enemy etc. |

This happened to me today. I was in a tank and it got killed. Rather than die, I was immediately 'respawned' at the enemy CRU. I continued to fight for the defender's side however I could hear BOTH teams talking. Only the defenders could hear me talking. |

Yesterday actually I was in a game then a friend wanted to try to queue sync so I backed out and while in my captains quarters was still listening to the chat going on in the game i was in. The once i got into the game with my buddy I was still in that chat from the other game and I was tied up to both attackers and defenders chat three chats is one heck of a mind blower |

It is likely they are just getting the system to behave correctly with the EVE Voice engine. I do not know if they are utilizing the same code, but the EVE Voice system does work rather decently for fleets under a few hundred(arbitrary number) people (dont know what actual channel limit is).
I expect once they migrate us to the EVE/Dust intercorp functionality the voice comms would be much more stable. |

This happened to me once as well. I was driving a milita HAV that I brick tanked with heavy armor, and the other team was shitting themselves on comms whenever I drove into one of the objectives they were defending, saying they had nothing that could touch me. I only wish I had a mic so I could have laughed at them :p |

i had comms issues a number of times when id disconnect my mic to charge(take a break and go smoke or something) and come back and turn the mic on in the lobby of my next match.
favorite experience of this 'feature'
Running my high skill gank fit militia suit(2 damage mods, armor plate and assault rifle, full militia fit), got in close and took down a heavy suit with a proto rifle, while an assault suit showed up next to us and couldnt track me to save his life, all the time a drop ship raining small blaster fire in my direction, i hear 'what the f**k! can this guy just not die?' i look up and spot the dropship after the assault went down and proceed to start unloading my clip into him, reload quick and continue firing, all while dodging the terrible accuracy of small blasters, the second clip finishes off the shields and drops him to about half armor, and i hear the drop ship pilot shout 'i gotta get outta here! someones hitting me with a HMG!' and takes evasive maneuvers to run away while i was reloading... feeling rather relieved about my survival vs a proto rifle heavy, a terribad assault, and the dropship guns(IN MILITIA GEAR) i take a quick glance around and see no sign of ANY friendly indicators anywhere near my current location and realize it was my militia rifle tearing through his shields and armor lol.
have have rifle prof 4(12% damage?), gunnery 5(15% damage), ammo cap 4(20% ammo), reload prof 3(15+6%), so i can be fairly vicious even with militia gear but it made me giggle to see a zero tank militia dropship(probably default fitting no less due to those blasters) panic over just over a clip and a half. (fully resist tanked militia fits on a dropship can have approximately 2.2k ehp on a gorgon, militia rifle deals approximately 1.5k raw damage per clip iirc) |

My main gripe with the voice comms is that the game switches off my headset after each game, and forget to turn it back on at the next. I'm using the "official" PS3 headset from the Warhawk launch.
But the primary problem is that too few uses comms. |
