Is anybody else having dust withdrawal? I am. Im in a state of denial, its depressing...still trying to log in every day and still feel a deep sadness every time it fails. Its like a very close friend died...you knew it was coming but, it still hurts and doesn't go away...pathetic really...never thought I would ever feel this way about a game. Im a grown man, 36, addicted to this game, cut off cold turkey and it sucks. Anyway started my last battle terribly, got killed 3 times in a row. Was in special contracts squad led by Z 13, turned it around, deployed in a Frame with my last Glag rr, a nanaki, Balacs ar, and Lai dai avs....went on a 17 kill streak to finish out the match...guess I went out right...just wish it wasn't over. RIP Dust, it was fun, hope you at ccp bring this back on console in some form in the future. Probably won't have the means to play Nova though God knows I will want to. I have no peace about this, just a washed up PS3, though my controllers are probably glad i wont be slamming them anymore and my wife will be glad I;m not yelling and cussing in the living room at my TV screen...LOVED this game,loved playing with you all! Thank you to anyone who helped me along the way, helped me improve from scrub status to a better than 3 kdr monthly. I enjoyed all the trading also, was amazing all the friendship and generosity in the last days on the trade channels with everyone helping each other and giving freely of their isk and weapon stores that had been carefully procured over time. Farewell all, may we meet again somewhere on the stained battlefield.

I'm a grown guy also at 33yrs old & even though it had its critics, it was a great game. What more could anyone want for free? I have found it difficult to even play games now since. I have tried Planetside 2 but it doesn't come close. Dust was unique. I too have tried to login on Dust again in hope that it will start. Lol ridiculous really. I enjoyed Dust a lot & it was a great pleasure to play alongside you all. I hope someday we will all get to return in some shape or form on console. o7

I so missed out on everything that happened between the Beta and then, and wish I'd kept playing right from the start. For me it's about the wanting to log in, realising for the umpteenth time that I can't, and the now fading pang of missing it. I should have weened myself off it when we first heard it was shutting down, and CCP probably thought people would do that. Some did, but in ever greater numbers, some actually came back to the game or joined up for the first time, just to experience it before it was canned. My last battle finished only minutes before DT on the day it died. I was actually queued for deployment in the vain hope I'd be in battle one last time when it did, but was disconnected before I actually deployed. The feeling of elation that I was going to be in one last battle was abruptly replaced by one of tragic loss as I repeated hit OK to reconnect and failed. Roll on Nova! Let us hope it does turn out to be a PC based Dust, but on PC capable of being so much more, and then finally the link to EvE that was supposed to be right at the very beginning. I'd love to be able to transport mercs in my ships like we were supposed to be able to do in the first place. I keep dreaming of what could/can/will be in place of going into battle one last time with you lot. :)

I told him that it's dying in literally 3 days and all I got back was "What????". Apparently you used to be able to add to the damage on the enemy MCC but they nerfed that. Made sense to me that any damage is real damage. Why shouldn't an installation be able to help?

I quit playing after the jumpy meta, and things all around were degrading in game. 2 different PS3 were giving me at best 10 fps, with lan cable max comm speeds. PC battles were far worse, unplayable. I did do one Dom the 30th and it was hella laggy, could hardly see much less aim, felt like I was the only one trying to win and lost by a few ticks. Was a good fight me for just coming in cold into the rain of officer gear. Felt I needed to get a last match in. I remember my first and last games, that says something about this pile of code that I loved. First day open beta. I used to play for the points.

Visually it's much better & runs smoothly, no real lag issues but it feels empty. No sense of accomplishment on it. You can take over some territories in the blink of an eye but in another blink, another faction comes in & takes it back. Or you spend a long time battling over the same thing. Very repetitive. At least in Dust there was a time limit or as we all well know your "clone reserved are depleted" ended the battle

There is now a void for all of us...missing, where the rush this game provided was lost.
