1) No, I don't. 2) For Dust 2.0? I'm sorry, I prefer something more real. On a more serious note, I'm actually saving for a PC and that's why I still don't own a PS4, just it isn't for Dust at all. 3) Hidden compatibily issues and cable management. Two years ago I removed the PSU from my old computer and when I was going to put it in again, I wasn't able to reconnect anything. Also, the new PSU (the one before was damaged) the repair guy gave me didn't have the right cables. 4) Only if CCP keep us informed. 5) Heck, I wish. |

I'm seriously not going to do it for one game whose previous incarnation was a disappointment. 4) Yes, I still plan to follow development. 5) I don't have corp-mates, but I still talk to friends I've made on here.
While I love Dust's PVP experience, I already moved on months ago to Destiny for it's PVE experience. I've kind of wanted that game since back when I tried the beta, but it was pretty obvious to me that it would severely lack content, so I held off on it until I could get a package with 3+ DLCs for one regular retail price, and I've been loving it ever sense. The story is garbage because of development shake-ups scrapped much, but the hidden lore in the "grimoire cards" is absolutely enthralling, the combat feels great, and in addition to story missions, there is a free-roaming patrol, cooperative strikes, and long mechanically complex raids requiring coordination between 6 players. There's also PVP, but it's just ok, and not really my thing. I don't think anything will really replace Dust's PVP experience for me, but I can live with that. I know it's popular to hate on Destiny for a lot of good reasons it earned at launch, but I'm more excited about it's future than Dust's at this point. I'll still be on the lookout for the possibility of a PS4 port though; it doesn't need to have PC-level graphics, and as much as people don't want the game restrained by a console, it's not like the future of Dust will be Star Citizen in terms of scope.
I notice there are some PC elitists here with their heads so far up their asses that they think all console players are man-children and teens with no disposable income and therefore no means of supporting a game, as if that's the only reason anyone would not want to invest the time in building a gaming PC. Not only is that insulting, it's also factually wrong. The producer of Warframe, originally a PC free-to-play game, said that warframe was a success on PS4. There's also the people who spent over $100 on Dust. so the idea that console gamers just have no money is just spiteful mouth-excrement.
well the reason i don't build a gaming pc because where i live sucks , buying parts to build a gaming pc is extremely expensive here

For less than the cost of a ps4 you can build a gaming pc that can run every game you can think of on medium to high settings, it will cost less in the long run (you are already paying for your internet but there is no playstaion+/xbox gold to pay for) and you can easily hook it up to your TV. Throw in the ability to use any controller, xbox, xbox 360, xbone, ps3, ps4, and even steam controller and I see no reason not to just embrace the pc. No, not at all. A new ps4 is 300. You can NOT build a gaming pc for that much. Not one that is worth a damn anyway. Don't lie.

1. Yes. 2. Very likely as long as 2.0 is (A) well-made, (B) hack-proof and (C) does not involve recurring fees. Otherwise, unlikely. 3. None. 4. Yes. 5. Absolutely.

1) No, but I plan to have one by the summer. 2) Very unlikely. 3) Space, costs, upgrading components to meet minimum spec, how much use (or lack of) I can expect. 4) I'll keep an eye on development, like I did with Eternal Crusade, and hope for a port. 5) As many as is possible.

If you can't afford anything more than a busted old last gen system, why the hell would you expect them to keep giving you a FREE game????
What many of the console "kids" don't understand is that CCP is a business, and they need a certain type of customer to provide revenues. Teenagers and man-children don't have the disposable income to support that need. Its sad, but its a reality. CCP is not in the business of providing free entertainment. They are a company with shareholders who expect to get paid.
Dust proved to them there is a market for this type of game. That means we get a second bite at the apple. Which is much better than most games that just die. I would love to play this game forever on the PS3 with support, but its not going to happen. I am just happy they are actually doing something, and even happier that they are moving it to a platform that has the resources and longevity to handle what I hope the next game is.
Not to mention that I am ecstatic to think about the crowd that will left behind because they can't or won't pay a subscription. Goodbye to some to the worst elements of this game. The quality of game and gamer will only get better with this kind of move. just because you got stomped on Dust does not mean a PC port is going to save you from us. Own a PS4 and a top quality gaming PC. Rigged for 60 fps.
Personally i might try the new game, but it will never be what dust was on the console.
Get ready for modders and hackers with easy PC server based injected values. You know invincibility, never run out of ammo, one shot kills with any weapon.
Dont try and defend the PC it is already happening on EVE everyday.
They cant and wont control it. Bringing the FPS to the PC will ruin everything in the name of skill based which was one of the main reasons i started playing dust 514.
I can see myself playing this new PC game but for not near as long as i played dust.
I am just going to be sick of all the modders just like any other FPS PC game, look at EVE, look at Star Wars Battlefront, look at GTA 5 all great games on the console but on the PC they give the worst possible gaming experience.
Now if they made it for PS4 then that would be a game i would play everyday.

HAHAHHAAHHAHA
You really took the scapegoating of the PS3 to heart.
CCP bombed this project with their horrible management just like the bombed WoD and just like they will bomb the next project.
They are currently calling Valkyrie a "pre-alpha" even tho the Oculus will be shipping within the next 60 days or so. I would be willing to wager the shipped title will be Eve: Valkyrie Beta so that they can cover their self on that being buggy as all get out too. |

However, given the problems we all experienced being held back by the ps3, can anyone say this wasn't necessary? PS4 is beginning to age itself.
Now we've had time to deal with this. I personally built my first gaming rig last year partially because of this. I want to ask a few questions for those getting "left behind."
1) Do you already own a PS4 2) How likely would you be to build a pc for this? 3) What are your main concerns with building a pc? 4) Do you still plan to follow development? 5) Do you still plan to hang out with your corp mates?
Getting left behind sucks, absolutely. I really wish there was a way to avoid it, but alas here we are. I want to try and help as many people as I can who have even the slightest interest in continuing on with Dust but do not currently have the capability.
In the end, I firmly believe "Dust 2.0" will be better off the more original Dust players there are playing it and guiding it. 1) Yes. 2) Not very, PCs need to be a little easier to move for me to build one. 3) Either A) Not being able to move it as easily as necessary for me to build one, or B) Being easy enough to move, but too weak. 4) Yes, once I find out the bloody name of it. 5) Hell yeah.

i'm forum main banned til may i started playing this religiously summer of 2012 and stopped in 2014 that being said; 1) yes, but controller broke, just sits there waiting to see if No mans sky is worth AF. i was beasting at PS2 but got distracted by fallout 4 before the controller broke 2) absolute 0% chance that i will ever play dust on PC, i dont see the point really because i have lost all faith in that corner of devs, i felt like a wasted a lot of life on DUST514 for really nothing in return, of course it's just gaming but the wan ton lack of FPS experience of the devs is not attractive. i'm not waiting/wasting years again for the so called meta game while they "balance the core", there are other games tho i want a PC for, mainly space engineers, kerbal space program, The Mandate, RUST, World War II Online, Dayz, elite danagerous and a slew of others. 3) lack of knowledge, if you could link me to a decent PC build and maybe an instructional video i would be much obliged 4) out of morbid curiosity 5) theyre long gone, for w/e reason they wouldnt take to planetside and are playing lolwarframe

They should have realized years ago that what they wanted to do for this game was just never going to happen at all with this outdated piece of technology. instead of listening to the people who kept telling them to go to the pc they remained stubborn and continued to not only to try to make it work anyway but they also continued milking alot of players. I hope they seriously learned a lesson from all of this, from the pay to win items, the bugs, the nerfs, the buffs, everything else. |

I'm with you on this one CPM the specs arent even that high for BF4...a PC that can run this game will not be that expensive.
