Until they get Dust or it's equivalent at least 75% right I'm not spending another penny on a CCP game. Sure the current team deserves to be compensated for the progress they've made with this mess but CCP doesn't deserve a damn thing with how they've treated Dust over the years. .
This is pretty much my opinion.
CCP gets no benefit of the doubt from me ever again. No pre orders, no investing in a beta, or anything similar.

Immortal John Ripper wrote:Say hypothetically it went to ps4/pc. Separated servers for balance.. Api support like eve for stat tracking and stuff. Promise of regular updates/maps/skins. Support like how dust was in it's prime but less crappy..
Let's say it has a f2p model but you have to completely work for everything you own. So you can still play and try out all the content or use the market to get access to skins/bpo. but you work for it. Would fp2 players tolerate a cola ad in loading screens if it helps pay for the servers?
The subscription model also offers free skins/bpo's , boosters, and aur as well and guaranteed something new to abuse with every renewal. AS WELL as access to the testing server where you can test new weapons/maps before they are officially released. subscription content would be completely unique from direct arum purchases. Meaning you can't buy it with aurum from CCP and every month the stuff you get is a complete surprise. You just have to subscribe and get surprised. Would you pay for this game in the form of a monthly subscription of 10.00?
I hil.... I mean John Ripper is just asking out of curiosity and no other reason.
Support for this game is dying.. it seems. (from CCP), I am just wondering if the player base feels differently.
If game will be finished maybe, right now HELVETE DEFO NO!! After all setback i do not trust them anymore, honestly.

Okay, did not feel like reading.
So I will assume that you said would you pay for a PS4 port of DUST.
My Answer - Yes. I would support DUST being ported to PS4 at the cost of some money.
This game is 3 years of memories for me.
I miss it, even with better games, there really isn't anything that can replace DUST.

If they port, they should get rid of the damn FTP model. Charge -ú30 for the game, keep optional aurum purchases, bam - CCP is making more than ever before. The percentage of people who have ever played this game who have actually spent money on it is very small.

Why are you all so against a one-off payment, like most games? Much safer and more likely to make a profit than f2p/p2p.

You have a suit that is truly for the people with little time, but have disposable income and you are making a trade between the skill based bonuses of other suits vs. the built in bonuses of the proto suit so you don't get a more powerful suit, just a ready to go suit that is the equivilent of some relavent lvl 5 skills, but not all. Let the advanced suit be the one type of isk based role suit.
Up the skills costs otherwise to promote purchases of aur suits by new and casual players as well as testing things before you skill it.
No pay to win, just pay to have now vs. training later. i would kind of keep most pf it how it is. but i remove full proto gear or at least officer from public matches, i dislike the idea of mercs running around and relying more on equipment more than their skills...

Subscription games are pretty dead, the only ones I can think of off the top my head are WoW and EVE, and both of them are now semi subscription, a one time buy-to-play is the best option as many games have shown (most noticeably Guild Wars 2) players prefer a one time lump sum, and as a developer myself I like that option the most, It tells me how much money I have to work with on content and paying my employees rather than a F2P or subscription model where everything is hazy at best and we have to hope all goes well.
Would spend $60 USD on this game if it means CCP re-releases it with continued support and a proper studio crew. 10/10

They need to clean up the current marketplace first. Skins and keys are fine.
It would probably improve performance if they got rid of all aur variants and just had a skill injection that decreased if you died while wearing gear related to that skill. |

I would not buy dust as a port for pc or ps4 as it currently stands. a PVP only game is not the kind of game that i buy, it would need PVE solo and PVE co-op |

As content.
Answer this...
Would you want 30 people playing this game,300,3000?
The more players playing the less stale and stagnant a game is. A stale and stagnant game is a boring game, and a boring game is a dead game.
The more you segregate your players into "payers" and "nonpayers",the faster a sense of elitism develops, and the sooner a game gets stale. (reference:PC)
The best way to get the game into players hands is make it free.
Then (if the game is ran correctly by CCP) some of those players will actually advertise this game for CCP saving them ad revenue.
You seem to only look at what's in front of your face bro. You need to try to look at all the other f2p games and see why they're so successful.(Hint:It's the high player counts.)

The percentage of players that have spent money on any f2p game is small and yet it's very profitable for online games and is why there's so damn many of them these days. It's an effective and safe bet, think of it like FOTM, people run it because it's easy and it works really good.
The flaws that keep Dust from being a thriving f2p are the flaws that would kill it if there was a paywall.
Look at them, it's like they're the star attraction in a fucking flea circus.

I would certainly pay good money. My only criteria would be to have what we have right now on a more powerful system. PC preferably but even the PS4 would be enough to tempt me.
A stable, fluid and working DUST 514 on PC? Hell yes. Even on the PS4 I think It would have sufficient processing and graphics power to run everything mint = 1080p@60+Fps.
I'm just thinking what ~could~ be for DUST on PC - 4k resolution, community made super high-res texture packs.... Dust could look pretty good with some effort. |

Then no. The rest doesn't really matter. I'm an old-timer, inflexible weirdo--If they want me to pay for the game, then charge properly for it. Otherwise it's a free game in my book. They can use the whales/suckers/p2w-folks.

I would pay for it if it is nothing like it's current state.
In saying that I would probably wait a bit, not that I can't afford it. But I won't make the same mistakes.
The content of the game needs to meet what it was hyped 3 years ago. An open universe tactical shooter with many and varied forms of combat and suit/vehicle configuration. Where we go and plunder resources from worlds, or land masses for upgrading bases/making more clones and ships etc.
Actually building an empire that must be defended from space and land (much like a very upscaled PC).
That's what I would pay for. My 2 cents
dust is life...
... uncertain, and usually pretty dissapointing.
