Immortal John Ripper wrote:Say hypothetically it went to ps4/pc. Separated servers for balance.. Api support like eve for stat tracking and stuff. Promise of regular updates/maps/skins. Support like how dust was in it's prime but less crappy..
Let's say it has a f2p model but you have to completely work for everything you own. So you can still play and try out all the content or use the market to get access to skins/bpo. but you work for it. Would fp2 players tolerate a cola ad in loading screens if it helps pay for the servers?
The subscription model also offers free skins/bpo's , boosters, and aur as well and guaranteed something new to abuse with every renewal. AS WELL as access to the testing server where you can test new weapons/maps before they are officially released. subscription content would be completely unique from direct arum purchases. Meaning you can't buy it with aurum from CCP and every month the stuff you get is a complete surprise. You just have to subscribe and get surprised. Would you pay for this game in the form of a monthly subscription of 10.00?
I hil.... I mean John Ripper is just asking out of curiosity and no other reason.
Support for this game is dying.. it seems. (from CCP), I am just wondering if the player base feels differently. Exclusives? No.
Something like : -increased SP gain -increased loot drops -increased ISK payouts -AUR discounts -More characters can have passive gain. -Early access to content -X amount of boosters/AUR monthly
Things that would make the game more pleasurable. We don't need "elites" feeling superior because they have exclusives.
Unbalancing this could potentially wreck CCPs game. Which is why moderation is needed.

Subscription content needs more actual meat to it than cosmetic distractions and boosters-1. I would rather see things like access to missions free players can't get (with rewards such as cosmetics), as well as quality-of-life improvements, such as a higher fitting limit,2.and automatic/queued war-barge management.
Wow...
1.Look at PC to see how excluding players destroyed the game. You have to be in a big corp or be rubbed out by them.
1a.Keeping the "poors" out just because they make you feel dirty, and you want to stroke your ego is a bad idea.
2.It goes from management to demanding "priority". Then it becomes P2W.
If every battle left 0 lingering effects this wouldn't be as bad. (Note:I said as bad, meaning it's still bad.)
But if priority was given to subscribers, you'd have to subscribe to effectively do PCs or participate at all.

Dried ShadowBeaver wrote:Why are you all so against a one-off payment, like most games? Much safer and more likely to make a profit than f2p/p2p. Those players that can't pay are contributing too...
As content.
Answer this...
Would you want 30 people playing this game,300,3000?
The more players playing the less stale and stagnant a game is. A stale and stagnant game is a boring game, and a boring game is a dead game.
The more you segregate your players into "payers" and "nonpayers",the faster a sense of elitism develops, and the sooner a game gets stale. (reference:PC)
The best way to get the game into players hands is make it free.
Then (if the game is ran correctly by CCP) some of those players will actually advertise this game for CCP saving them ad revenue.
You seem to only look at what's in front of your face bro. You need to try to look at all the other f2p games and see why they're so successful.(Hint:It's the high player counts.)
