I would refrain from any hype. I still believe it's a good sign that the EVE brand is moving to PS4 though with PSVR. The future is far from set.

There's a fair amount they could do without taking something from the game that would make more than a fair share of players angry. Separating the jump bonus from myos into a new module would make quite a few mad because then they'd have to gimp their fit to get both the jump and the insta-kill b!tch slap, fixing MM so it doesn't consistently stack squads against randoms would make a few mad because then they'd actually have competition in pubs, so it places more emphasis on matching players with similar ping would make all those that use their higher latency to their advantage (thanks to the net code, lag comp, and hit detection; if they fixed those too it'd make some mad), pretty mad, fixing glitches would make some mad. There's plenty of good things they could do that would make people a lot of the people that play this game mad.

You sure CCP isn't quite thoroughly passed the line of no return, when it comes to Dust's failure?

I can't think of any "right thing" for them to do, other than shut the servers off when the game totally stops making money for them.

At this point, imho CCP has screwed up so badly with Dust, that even if they ported it to PC and/or PS4 would anyone actually trust them enough to bother invest time into playing it? (And therefore spend money on it, so that CCP gets a worthwhile return?)

If you really want to make CCP finally respond, don't whine, complain, or threaten; merely stop posting here. See how they like silence in return.

You shouldn't really put the problems the past failures of the old dev team on to the shoulders of the newer guys, since Rattati took over, aside from performance issues which have been there since day 1, the game has improved. So I would say they are doing a much better job.

I do understand your viewpoint though, the silence and the past problems do make it hard for people to give them another chance but I'm 99% certain that most of the people who don't play anymore and are on PS4 would pick this game up again if it was available.

Let's just see what 1.3 has first.

Only one thing I want from 1.3 in regards to game play.

Disable the r1 button function completely, any time a suit is greater and 2 meters off of a horizontal surface.

Let that single change play out for a few months and see what we have.

I think it's all we need, other than performance fixes.

No, cos that means no one can jump and fire at all which is dumb. Why not just nerf myos?
