Where passionate arguments in times past have resulted in progress and improvement, today, precisely nothing comes of debate. CPM2 does whatever they want. CCP isn't home when it comes to DUST and -- as best we can tell -- isn't paying attention to the happenings here (beyond scouting out opportunities to swing the banhammer). I figure Rattati has either abandoned ship or is working on something huge. Fingers crossed for the latter, but whatever it is, he doesn't want or need our input. So for now, we await Rattati's return.

If and when Rattati unveils his masterpiece, I've no doubt the Forums will return to former glory.

I noticed yesterday that Rattati suddenly had a revival on twitter, going through old posts and favoriting them, most likely pointing to his absence due to heavy workload, and that he is now done with whatever he was working on, allowing him to catch up on the things he missed on social media.

There's a fair amount they could do without taking something from the game that would make more than a fair share of players angry. Separating the jump bonus from myos into a new module would make quite a few mad because then they'd have to gimp their fit to get both the jump and the insta-kill b!tch slap, fixing MM so it doesn't consistently stack squads against randoms would make a few mad because then they'd actually have competition in pubs, so it places more emphasis on matching players with similar ping would make all those that use their higher latency to their advantage (thanks to the net code, lag comp, and hit detection; if they fixed those too it'd make some mad), pretty mad, fixing glitches would make some mad. There's plenty of good things they could do that would make people a lot of the people that play this game mad. Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks.
