I'm starkly against power creep and am usually the first one in the CPM to raise hell over BPO's in general. This one is a Standard BPO that already out-classes the other standard rep tools in that it has three beams. For the record, you only see more than one beam at the proto level and three beams has never been done before. Its range being 10m is, last I checked, on par with the typical Standard Repair Tool. Effectively what that means - to me - is that whoever has the BPO will never have any reason to purchase/use a standard rep tool again. Once the range gets buffed they'll be hard pressed to use the standard Flux Repair Tool as well. But I understand that players want good rewards for the events, so, it's whatever. To provide an adage that would serve well here : Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Just play your 5 matches, get your bpo and be happy that it isn't a standard bpo, which given the event requirements would be a suitable reward.
