The more who X up, the more who show that they aren't going to settle for the game in the state it is now. Company inattention to this game results from show of playerbase complacency.

The players who already left/quit being active/can't play because of broken systems or dont want to be PS3 is just that, a PS3, a lot of us who willfully quit did so because after months on the forums or conplaining about certain keys issues like extending NPE or lag(unfixable so no dinging here just saying), and lack of company( upper managment that actually has the port decision) discussion, hell even a simple we will take such under consideration but nothing is set in stone is very much saddening to read month after month. I quit because this game was takong up too much time ans to make a statement that I am no longer playing a game for a company that does not speak to its players. Why play if the game has no future? Why spend money if it has no future? Yes, you can say to have fun. But I cant do that if I know my days are numbered and my immortal clone is going to put to sleep due to some bollocked presentation a few years.

Legion was a great idea, but it went against everything that Dust stood for and was mentioned after months of silence that this all over again.

This protest is whatever we want it to be. Be it because of lack of company communication or because the things that we have been complaining about for years aren't fixed, etc. Yes, Dust is not Eve and does not have a team of people in the hundreds. However we are paying customers all the same and that puts us on equal terms with Eve Players. Eve is getting tens of update notes and trailers. I havent seen a Dust trailer since 2012. I haven't heard anything about where the game is going save 1.3, which I know NOTHING about. CCP says they wont state till it's absolutely done? Why state anything about Eve then thats still months away? What's that double standard all about?

This protest is people saying enough with the games. If you are farming us for money, then farm sheep like yourself who condone this behavior and who allow this company to so as they please. CCP is more than welcome to have their game, however we dont, nd won't play it. This first strike is to show we're serious.

This second one, probably for a longer period and during an event, to show that we won't news. Can the game if you're gonna can the game, or at least tell us that you will start thinking hard bout Dust's future, because the overwhelming majority want this to be ported. #PortDust514 isnt bout a stupid which vs what, its a message that we want the game elsewhere and we cant do that here and we are willing to pay if we KNOW that all our funds here are being put towards a port.

In conclusion, stop derailing the thread. Dries removed names for the same reason I wrote about during my quitting post: Too many people to write down. Anyone who is not going to protest knows who they are. A lot of support is from inactive people who are happy guys like Dreis are finally seeing what we saw long ago and soing something about it.

The forums has plenty of characters available for all players involved to be on the list, the reason he didn't post names is because he knows I'll expose how many actual players will have any affect in this farce. Inactive players don't have any right to say they're a part of any in game event, they don't play, they can't be bothered to play, they don't deserve anything.

I don't care about the motives behind the boycott, I care about the fact that the protest was done in a disingenuous fashion. I condone it because it doesn't affect me because I no longer spend money on the game, if you don't want to play then go somewhere because you're not needed here. It's a joke of a boycott because the players who claim to be a part of it don't play to begin with. Why would you take a group seriously that doesn't affect you because this won't have any affect on CCP's decision making.

There is no lack of communication, literally almost everything implemented since Rattati's been in charge has been suggested by forum warriors who generally don't play. What more do you want? When they have news, they give news, Rattati always asks for feedback, and he always delivers what the players want.

Why would there be any trailers when the community is completely based on the forum warriors who avoid the game at all costs? You're not on equal terms as EVE players, they're more loyal than any Dust player. They stuck through with all the garbage CCP laid on them they still played the game.

When Eve mounted a protest it was in game. You have no right to say you're on equal terms just because some of you paid to play the game.

CCP doesn't give news they don't have substance to they won't announce anything for legion until they actually have something announce, you should be able to respect that.

I don't know about you but I play the game regular , spend money that would help me to enjoy my experience and all I ask for is the game to run without getting DQ'd , glitches , bugs and freezes so I can continue to play the game more and enjoy myself while doing so .

That's not asking for a lot and I don't give a dam about a port when this game hard freezes , black screens , DQ's and is full of bugs and glitches , I'm the exception I suppose and it doesn't make sense to me to port that to the current gen when it's not right on last gen neither is it getting better so it seems . I have a PS4 and wouldn't download this on mine so it can screw up like my 3 .

I care about what I spend my money on and don't have much to throw around .

I don't give a crap about a boycott because it's for a port and not for the health of the game and to me that shows a true lack of support for the fundamental basic core of the game and the game it's self and is more along the lines of being selfish and just wanting what one wants over the health of the game / the game it's self because if it runs like crap it doesn't matter if it's VR , it's a waste of time .

Yes, actually. Because comic relief is a good morale booster despite popular belief. The #PortDust514 movement might be over a serious topic but the methodology with which the movement is being performed is largely comedic in nature with various (sometimes poorly) photoshopped pictures that pay tribute to the developers in question. Rather than chastizing the developers for their hardships, the #PortDust514 movement embraces them.

In a way they are helping the game in a more effective and efficient manner than possible. And while it may be a bit of NDA-Breachy to say this (I'll risk it, it needs to be said) but there has been some laughs shared by the devs in regards to the content. Thusly, the CPM supports the movement.

The strike on the other hand may be done with good intentions but the methodology does more harm than good. Rather than playing the game despite it's faults and supporting the devs, the strike seems to aim at holding them responsible for something that is largely out of their control at the moment.

Soooo... In a way, this worked?
