Used my respec to use a MINJA. It's hard to use them properly people.
But never in my time of playing this game have I had SO MUCH CRAP told to me about a so called scrubby kill.
On a side note, I can't make up my mind on what equip to use. And how low should my DB be. I'm at 16 DB right now but that just seems like I'm overdoing it running 3 Complex Damps.
Constructive feedback would be lovely plz.

I'm no knifer but can tell you that 3 damps is a waste - 2 gets you below a proto scanner except the focused and 3 still doesn't get you below focused (on gal logi) so 2 is all you need to evade 90% of scans. |

He is not wrong, focused scanners aren't exactly common on the field, so making your regular fit to avoid them is not necessary... however, if you do run into a situation you need to, 3 damps and an activated cloak (proto definitely, not sure about lower tiers) will get you under those scans. But most of the time, the speed from the kincat should help you more.

^ FTFY. Still going to pinged by many inner rings while in knife range, and that ping is shared squadwide.
KinCat's a good choice, btw. I usually run 2 damps + 1 red. If they let me get away with it (ie no gallogi), I'll run 1 damp + 2 reds. Other popular choices are codebreaker or cardreg (if you use myofibs). If you shoot more than you shank, a ferro or reactive plate might work with your playstyle; though armor on a MinScout is arguably bad form :-)
PS: Anyone who calls you a scrub for running knives probably hasn't tried to run knives. Knives are tough to master and paperthin MinScouts are hardmode.

Straight complex damps + proto cloak:on = 14dB. ADV cloak won't cut it.
If you're trying to duck Focused Scanned, I'd highly recommend switching out for a GalScout. Zaria's right about these scanners not being very common in pubs (they're expensive, tough to fit, and less overpowered than alternatives). I take it as a personal compliment when the stompsquad I'm harassing pulls one out.

damps are really nice when knifing.
Nothing worse than doing a perfect flank, killing one dude just to pop up on radar for everybody in his squad...
Either you kill the whole squad in an instant (then you need kincats and sidearm damage mods) or pick out one dude, stalk around and pick out another (damps , damps and a kincat)
Take note that's only my experience and I'm a scrub ;) |

Don't even think about armor stacking, scrub! 
Stack shield, ACR, Cloak, Reptool ('cause **** it), 2 kincats and a damp or 2 damps and kincat. You don't need 'nades, trust me.

I just specced outta all my Minmatar fits because why not, change is good. But when I did run a Minja, I'd do it like roughly like this, depending on the tier of my dropsuit:
ACR
NKs
Flux Grenades
REs
Advanced or higher cloak
1x Krins DM (on proto suit) OR 1x Power Upgrade (on <= adv. suits)
2x Myos
2x KCs
1x CR
This thing could run and jump for days. Sure, it'd get scanned out on occasion, but not often enough for it to matter (plus I could easily GTFO). Then again, I played my Minja as a serial killer (literally, as in I'd stalk and kill one red at a time) and not as a fricken Diablo 2 Whirlwind Barb, cuz I'm not that good. |

We have some inaccuracy here.
If you are using MM Scout on PC you gone light up 50 meters from red dot, if you using Gallente Scout instead you will not have that problem even on passive.
If you running from A to pt B and you let your self being seen by someone it's good point to stop pretend you are Scout and start skilling Assaults instead.
The only reason why it's hard to get kills with NK it's because you are trying to use it with wrong suit, fitting and situation.

I think you oversimplified the analysis.
If a Minja is fully damped with a Pro cloak, he can beat all scans, active and passive. That is not what I was referring to.
I am referring to eyeballs, and since the cloak has hit or miss utility at best, not to mention reduced situational awareness as a result of cloak blind, you are running a very easily killed suit a great distance.
There is no amount of scout skill that can prevent all sight lines or running into random people at random places despite best efforts.
I was talking INNER ring scans, which are about 5 meters, and cannot be beat by anyone. Period.
And since passive scans are shared by squad, every person in a squad, and if you are in PC, means the entire team, will know you are there. Game over.

I have a basic Minja with basic nova knives. I die a lot but omg it it so fun knifing people!! The challenge of sneaking up on them and one hitting them. Normally takes me several swipes. |

For weaponry, I'd pair proto knives with CR, ACR, SMG or ASMG. For your free EQ slot, I'd recommend a compact hive, active scanner, remotes or uplinks. If you're playing Ambush, try swapping out the flux for an M8; there's a bit of a learning curve, but they're worth the practice.
