You can passively generate warbarge components to upgrade it, and produce officer weapons, or you can find warbarge components in EoM salvage. Sure, you can purchase AUR to speed up the process, but it's not like the warbarge is an AUR-only feature.
Also, I believe CCP is evaluating the drop rate of officer gear from the experimental lab due to it's recent abundance.

I have Mobile Factory V and Experimental Lab II.
I produce 600 warbarge components per day and up to 3 officer weapons per day (in exchange for 500-ish warbarge components). Typically I don't claim the Experimental Lab's officer gear but once every other day to ensure I net positive warbarge components.
When the lab produces something I don't use I trade it to a corpmate or friend in exchange for something I will use.
Total AUR spent on warbarge upgrades or sub-systems: 0 Officer gear per day: 2 (on average)

And OP, if you aren't being a pretty terribad troll right now, the generation of officer weapons from the warbarge is being reviewed by CCP and CPM. I believe they are wanting to modify the experimental lab somehow; reduce the officer gear drop rate, make it less passive, etc.
TL;DR - CCP is aware of how much officer gear the warbarge is putting into the game and is reviewing options.

Archduke,
I feel so sorry for you having to interact with this guy in a professional way. It's like he is being willfully ignorant.

Kalante Schiffer wrote:How about two or more lvl 4+ sub sections? oh yeah no one. I also have Augmented Ammo Facility IV.
I have not put a single AUR into the warbarge. I open strongboxes and sometimes get warbarge components. The strongboxes are opened with keys I get from doing daily missions.

Kalante Schiffer wrote:I just hate the time wall. The warbarge's upgrade timers are pretty steep. I will 100% agree with that. I feel like giving us more ways of earning components through play would be helpful. Up the drop rates from playing matches and increase the drop amount to at least 50 components, maximum 500.

8213 wrote:Maybe you can prove with math and tim how you were able to accomplish this? The warbarge launched on Feb 3rd, 2015. 258 days ago. If a merc were to save their warbarge components they generated from the mobile factory, making a beeline for level 4, factoring in free keys opening strongboxes that contain warbarge components, playing matches to earn components from EoM salvage... it's not at all difficult to imagine a warbarge having multiple sub-systems at 4.
Login daily, play matches, the warbarge grows faster.

Just thought I would throw it out there and that experimental lab appears to have been changed. It now produces experimental weaponry far more than officer gear, which is nice.

8213 wrote:Now, I stated that AURUM was driving the amount of Officer Gear being spammed in this game through WB Upgrades and Strongbox keys... So far, if the WB really only does make experimental it would appear I'm on my way to being right. Keep your internet forum resume to yourself. I don't give a ****.
Referring to this statement since it pertains to the thread...
As it has been explained to you time, and time, and time, and time again: warbarges can be upgraded quite easily by just logging in daily to claim your FREE warbarge components and EoM warbarge components. You are making the assumption that somehow all warbarges are being upgraded via AUR. You are making the assumption that officer weapons are all coming from strongboxes.
When in fact it's just hundreds of mercenaries who are upgrading their warbarge for FREE, flooding the market with officer weapons they produced for FREE, without spending a dollar on AUR.
So, in response to this, CCP changed the experimental lab production table to be experimental weapons. Now this tide of officer weapons that were produced for FREE will slow down. I don't think we can make this any more clear: this bullshit you are concocting about officer weapons being purchased is just that... bullshit. You can pump out officer weapons every day without spending any money on AUR.
Also, strongbox keys can also be obtained for FREE just by getting one victory a day. You can also earn them for FREE by completing certain daily missions.

8213 wrote:4,000 person playerbase... 4,000 person playerbase? That is close to the number of concurrent logins, probably. That doesn't count the people who login, claim their goods, and log out. The number of unique logins each month is much, much, much higher
Anecdotal I know, but a friend is logging in once per day to get his free stuff but not playing matches. He just claims his warbarge components, gets his FREE AUR, and occasionally sends other people officer gear he doesn't use. He is an example of someone who doesn't increase the concurrent login numbers much, but does count as a unique login.
8213 wrote:And, my case states that AURUM is driving this. Your entire "case" hinges on the fact that there are only 4,000-ish players playing Dust 514. Since that is not true, your "case" is dribble shlock.

8213 wrote:You realize that these alts that log in would consume hours, and they nee to have a loyalty rank of 2, right? When did I say all of these players were alts, cupcake? These are players who have rank 2, but aren't actively playing Dust 514 for one of many reasons.
See: the example I gave you above. He has rank 5 last time I checked. Since Dust is on a last gen console many players are resorting to this. They want to keep their Dust character rolling in SP and FREE AUR, but they don't want to play the game in its current state.
We're not talking about alts. Pay attention.
