In PC the word "war" is a joke.. as the same group have won almost each war, just further buffing their funds and at this stage a lot of the top players in the game are just attracted to join the same Corps, not compete with them while it does kill some of the activity, there can still be fights involving all players if they take the steps to get involved...
Which for most is..
- check starmap
- find top % holder
- hop on the wagon
- profit
It's a shame, the most competitive players on Dust are also the least competitive players on Dust
Only with CCP could this logic make any sense

I have pushed my Corp into doing PCs. Raiding is a great start because it removes the need to get the top tiered players from your corp and gives everyone a chance to try it out.
I am a vet from long ago so I remember when we barely had the SP for proto guns and proto suits, so an advanced suit with proto gun was king.
Now people have 100s of millions of SP.
The raids should be performed by as many corps as can initiate them, and put your squad in public with the ETA, Raid and Challenger. I have done that so many times now, every weekend I have random people flocking to me asking me when I am running my next PC.
I FC these and the best strategy is to follow the below steps:
*Break up the team into 2-3 groups (If I get pubs, I go from the position of your name unless you have a function)
*Tell that team what type of role they will play (Assault team (Light and Fast), Defense Team (1 AV, Couple logis, HMG), etc.)
*Tell people where they are spawning in at
*Assume players know what they are doing
*Be funny and have fun - You are getting beat, call out who is dying and what was funny, call for vengeance, mix it up
*Know you are going to lose most likely and walk in knowing that - This needs to be at the for front of the conversation (This is not a super serious PC. We will try to flip but aren't expecting it. Not saying this pisses people off.)
FCing is a thankless job that sucks ballz. The result though is making more friends in Dust and getting some respect.
Hell, we are starting to run raids back to back so we can hammer them out.
If you think you aren't good enough for a PC, message me and I will drag you into one and test it out. You may lose, but you get to walk out on the field in pads.

PC is a huge amount of time for a seriously carebear pos game mode. There are timers and the dregs can get ahead by hiring people to fight for them. There are too many safety nets and scrub tactics that win for pc to be taken seriously.
That is why a lot of potentially competitive players do not care. I am however insane enough to hang around hoping for a port of straight up platform change and development.

I've only played one PC since I've been back playing. It was fun, lost the battle but won the war so to speak since they didn't have enough clones for a follow up attack. Didn't experience any lag myself and both teams giving 100% and got a very nice payout.
Those guys corp is pretty big so it was just by chance that they had a need for a couple of ringers, probably only got into it because Whitsy vouched for me as well. Other than them I don't associate with any PC active corps and some I wouldn't want to even if they paid me an absurd amount of ISK. Then there's the fact I only get to play a few hours at night without a lot of background noise, I could play in the afternoon and all day on the weekends but nobody wants to here all that noise and I don't do push to talk because I always forget it's on.
Of than that I wouldn't mind doing more PC's, just don't get the opportunity often.
Shit man, all I ever get is fucking warnings.

Casual corp, no reason to raid, no desire to hold districts. The couple PCs we did when raiding first came in required us to find ringers (low activity corp). I'd hoped the activity would increase as we did more and more, but it didn't happen.
Plus I'm an average player, I don't have ISK coming out of my ears, and I will soon go broke running full proto in PC.
That said, I did have fun, but clearly not enough to keep doing it (and the lack of activity increase from my corp mates suggests the same)
PS. As an aside, the exploits in the past, as well as the exploits that exist now, means I am also disillusioned with the whole thing.

There's really no sandbox so it's become boring. There's nothing to look forward to, no meta, no real politics going on. Even in the beginning it was like this, although it did bring us some nice events, but really it's only be a one direction type of system.

- Lag fest 90% of the time. Say FW lags just as bad all you want but it is no where near as bad nor is it only once per day on a schedule meaning when the lag hits you have wasted 100% of your effort.
- Ringers. If by some miracle you sludge through the lag and win the other corp is just going to throw a tantrum and grab the bat phone meaning al of your effort was lost anyway.
- No real reward. The average mid level player is probably not going to go isk positive for the battle thanks to inexperience and LAG.
- No one wants to play the kiss ass politics to go into PC with a higher level corp. This leaves the options of getting your ass kicked from inexperience among your whole team or just hoping to get lucky and go into a PC on occasion where you and the FC have little experience with each other so you end up spending the whole match just playing keep up with the regulars.
- Did I mention no one wants to make Dust feel more like a job?
Well I think that just about covers it. PC has been a very broken concept as a game mode from day 1 and shows zero signs of a revival thanks to a skeleton crew being unable to do a total rebuild. The new system just turns newbies into CP farms while totally limiting what any one corp can actually do. Now ringers are even more popular with small corps thanks to them trying to get all they can out of limited CP.
This is why people cried so hard for 16 man squads in FW. People want to be able to play proper competitive matches some where in this game and currently that simply does not exist.
The reason corp battles don't come back is because participation in PC would instantly reach an all time low and be nothing but a haven for farmers while every one else has fun in real matches.
The only voice for a port is the voice of reason from money drying up.
More skins and 1% damage to keep Dust on PS3.

We prefer to use only our own people and if we summer have enough then we use alliance members. So no we don't need ringers since there are a decent amount in alliance chat.

I have plenty of Isk.
Who cares about internet "bragging rights" against (insert corp here).
If you are a corp with the manpower to reliably have 20 - 30 members on any given night, good on you. Then having a PC is just as easy as racking up CP and giving the Corpies something to do.
If your corp that doesn't have more than 16 people it can reliably call upon, then taking a district in PC is a futile waste of time.
If waiting 48 hrs for a scheduled match that has zero consequence is going to be a waste of time, why bother with PC?

Damn I got here late. Anyway, for those that want to participate in PC but don't know how to reduce lag like most veteran PC players here is my thread about reducing lag.
Those are all of the methods I have accumulated in my 2 years 5 months of playing PC, many of which can be quickly and inexpensively performed. One more thing I have to add when it comes to PC is that resetting your client via quitting game and relaunching dust is the most effective way of reducing frame rate drops, something most people suffer from.
The best time to do it is AS SOON AS YOU LOAD INTO THE WARBARGE. The countdown timer on the warbarge should be at approx 7 mins, giving you plenty of time to do a quick reset and make your way back into the warbarge with a couple minutes to spare.
