Count- -Crotchula TasteTheTamsen 1	Posted - 2015.09.20 16:17:00 - [1] - Quote So I played a game where people obviously had SSDs, I hadn't made it to the CRU on the small bridge map (domination where A is on the right-hand side, you know the one) yet the enemy had 2 dropships already on top of those two small structures above the supply depot, and didn't hack the CRU they were up there before we even got to the CRU and they were just shooting people as they came out, there was nowhere else to spawn. Why? Why do people insist on camping roofs to the point where they will go to your side of the map and camp the smallest roof, just to shoot new players as they spawn what fun is there to be had in diminishing an already tiny playerbase by camping on the roof and shooting people as soon as they ***** spawn?! Then 2nd game we got pushed out of domination straight away (gallente research facility) then they proceeded to headglitch! noob boob whoever's alt you are, YOU, just you headglitching straight away, why push the enemy team out of the objective STRAIGHT AWAY, do you want to play at the redline? is that more fun for you? would you rather play at the redline than the objective?! why do people INSIST on pushing you hundreds of metres from the objective and having the most boring match ever whilst they poke their heads over glitched building ledges where you can barely shoot them? And then I try to queue up again and get internal error what's the point, every time I play this game it's full of scrubs camping roofs and farming starter fits at spawn points, or it's FULL of bugs and ***** internal error! or the game slows down to 1FPS, or the hit detection is so buggy you can't hit anything! game is a mess I'm done, fix your glitches from three years ago CCP you lazy incompetent fools. this game is as it was developed, CHEAP and chinese, how can you expect anything cheap and chinese to be decent and last? if it's shoes, clothes, phone, video game it doesn't matter there's no point in giving money to a developer which leaves 3 year old bugs in the game! Also, there's not a lot of competition. Almost all the casual, solo, decent players have left this game. Since this game rewards winners it's almost impossible for people that always lose to beat people that always win. Redlining is really the natural step people take when they only care about PC and FW. Put your flags up in the sky. And wave them side to side. Show the world where you're from. Show the world we are one.

It's not very high level gear, but for an account of my age it's pretty good. I try to to drive the direction of the team. I'll sacrifice direct confrontation with creative Uplink deployment. I've found this can be the difference between a redline game and a decent back and forth. Sometimes with scanner spam it makes it a bit difficult to hide so I play a lot of defense between the point we are pushing and my links. If I can keep the team near the fight, the game is going to be that much better. Lately I haven't minded losing so much because I've been getting plenty of SP and isk while minimizing my deaths. If you play hard, creatively and don't just follow the pack you can sometimes be the difference between a good and bad game. If we lose but had a good fight, it feels just as satisfying as a win. A redline game, win or lose, isn't fun for either side. Plain and simple. Additionally I've started a blacklist thread. If you notice the same people or corps playing with the same cheap tactics that ruin games and continue to choke this game until it dies, feel free to drop their names and corps and tactics used. I'll add them to the list. This encourages players not to trade with them, squad with them, help their corp, and maybe even make alliances question said corps memberships. I would also like to add you in game. Add me and let's play. I gaurentee even if we lose, you'll have some fun games wth me and my corp. This offer is open to anyone! My character is young and my experience is shallow, but I love to play hard and will support my squad and team above all else. Don't stop playing before giving it a try, I'd love to change your mind about this game.

Just that would slow down the roofcamping. Just had a match where its the lag city map in PC and we were up on a catwalk thanks to a blueberry and some random enemy in a assault ak.0 somehow had an endless supply of core locus that he just kept throwing and throwing. Dust 514:Plasma is magic.

I only post in the forums when I am eithet waiting for a match or nowhere near my PS3 to play. And I do my best to help new people, some just refuse to be helped. Also there are sqauds run daily to help people, corps dedicated to training new people and helping "git gud" exist, and I am sure that at one point we had a channel people could jump in and ask questions. And I am pretty sure there is an entire subforum called Rookie Training Grounds where people post guides and give advice. And I have suggested to OP in the past to try to reinstall the game to help with some of the problems. If he hasn't listened thats on him. That is thanks to the nanohive buff to amount carried. Before that everything was working pretty well because explosives of any kind would eat through hives in no time. You want to snipe from the redline or go balls deep into the enemy, do what you feel. However, as soon as you deride a valid playstyle as cheap, or abusive, you mark yourself out as someone who does not want to elevate their gameplay, as someone who is, to use the term, a scrub. I'll be on dust at 10 eastern, but I still don't see what you are going to try to prove to me. That you aren't a scrub? Your comments already prove that. I don't agree, there has been some evolution of the game. In closed beta it was the LR and whoever had more SP into light Weapon Sharpshooter. Then we had the flaylock craze, the rooftop forge period, then tanks were OP, then it was combat rifles and then scramblers. What about slayer logos and scoutfest as well. With online games that get patched, bad mechanics can be identified and changed, but that can never happen without "tryhards" pushing the limit and forcing people to counter their play. When the response is just qq instead of a reasoned approach, no progress can be made to make the game more enjoyable and able to support high level play. As an example, last night I was in a squad with some people and the jumpy suits got brought up because someone got killed by them. Immediately the conversation progressed into mechanic changes that would change the scenario for the better, rather than simply labelling that opponent a scrub and dropping it. Stamina changes, disabling turns in the air, adding an accuracy debuff after a jump where all discussed. That is competitive players who dislike a mechanic talking about it without resorting to scrub excuses. I know that dust has mechanics problems, and I am not saying that parts of the game might not be in need of overhauls, but people who say things like "that's cheap" or that a tactic "takes no skill" have the completely wrong mindset about competitive games. Me at that moment You have all of these TOOLS at your disposal to help you fix problems you find in the game. Rooftop camping? Grab a cheap dropship, get a heavy and pay them a visit. Jumpy mass drivers? Give them some space so they don't jump on your noggin and mow them down as they float. Never just complain about the tactic, SIT DOWN AND THINK ABOUT HOW TO COUNTER IT. When it was first released, the flaylock was absurdly powerful. When used by skilled players it so vastly outclassed anything else, that there was literally no point in not having one equipped, and players in PC immediately recognized how it broke the gameplay, especially in PC. The end result was that the teams in PC voluntarily banned it in PC's because of how detrimental it was to gameplay until it got nerfed. It wasn't that it was cheap, or took no skill, but that it was so vastly overpowered that by using it, you forced the other team to respond in kind and the match would always devolve into core flaylocks everywhere, which made the game dull and boring. It was tested, people with lots of gun game tried to find counters and couldn't. That was broken, and it got changed once the devs saw that it was creating degenerate gameplay. But it wasn't changed because of scrubs in the forums crying cheap, it was changed because players could demonstrate that without running flaylocks it was an assured loss. Data from PC matches backed it up, and usage in pubs was out of control. So there have been broken things in dust, but camping a rooftop or cru has never been one of them. Back when the Min Assault had a full sidearm bonus to all weapons. Ran 2x flaylocks for 8 rounds total. Fused nades to go with. Dear god I'm glad the PC community banned that. I remember spending AUR to buy Proto flaylocks and fused nades since my toon was too young to have them skilled. That's how bad it was.
