Both the PC and the PS4 are excellent candidates for their respective reasons and ultimately it comes down to how much of a **** you give as to where we go with either. Yes, a PS4 is more cost effective, but it simply does not do nearly as much as a PC and you get what you pay for. In terms of Dust 514 and -only- Dust 514, that may be a good option, but for a game that is meant to be connected to Eve Online I see a great deal of potential in allowing players from both sides to partake in both sides of that universe. I like oranges and I like apples. I like the taste of oranges better but I'll eat either. And that is what I am saying, just on a different level. I'm interested in the long term survival of this game, not whether or not Shadowed Cola is happy with me. I've heard all sort of reasons why I'm not a good CPM candidate, including my posting a thirty second video of me sniping some dude in a Balac's Assault suit. Because the community's opinion on this is nebulous and not chalked up to any one person. If both the Dust 514 community and the Eve Online community were 100% unanimous in that Dust 514 should be ported to the PS4, I'd say go for it. But unfortunately I'm looking at an active online player base of 3000 people on Dust 514, of which only a portion are arguing for it's continued existence on consoles, and an active player-base of 50,000 people on Eve Online, of which they are pretty much all arguing for it to be on PC. Further more, because I feel it needs repeating since the point clearly hasn't been hammered into your head yet, I don't care if it goes to the PS4 or the PC. If it goes to the PS4, I'll throw down the $450 and get one and be playing right with you guys. If it goes to the PC, cool, I'll just spend that $450 on the game (probably through SKINs) and probably be just as happy with my financial decision making. But then there's this: What about the portion of the community that wants Dust 514's continued development to remain on the PS3, because they cannot afford to shell out for either a PS4 or a PC? Am I supposed to ignore them as well because you want it on the PS4? Or am I supposed to consider them first and foremost as the top priority over you? You're wanting me to be 100% Pro-PS4 and I'm sorry but that's not going to happen. It's closed minded and obtuse. It's a difficult decision, certainly, but it isn't my decision to make. It's CCP's. That's why there's a call for the PS4 port lately, the certainty of even remaining as we are is starting to look grim. But the real issue here is your outlook on your position - you have CPM all wrong. Of course it's important for you to understand development process, the meta, and everything in-between - but it's also important you connect with us. and you don't. It's nice you stand by your opinions, but you lack the charisma to take it anywhere, it's left up to the people who reply to you to set the tone or wether or not you get trolled half the time. So if we can't expect you to voice our opinions and you suck at voicing your own - why would we elect you? Because you know things?
