DUST 514 offers unique freedom of choice when specializing for your favorite role on the battlefield. But what if that specialization and road toward achieving your ultimate goal became a little less rocky?
That's what we are going to try and make happen with Warlords 1.2 and its new Progression System! Read all about it here, and feel free to leave your feedback in this very thread. Keep in mind that screenshots are still work in progress, though! :)
Oh, and we are adding SKIN viewer in Warlords 1.2. Check out some screenshots in this very dev blog!

Sooo... No mention of new items being unlocked for trading. Does this mean there is currently no plans to add anything to the tradeable items list in the short term future?

I think that is a hotfix-able issue, and therefore does not get included in Dev blogs about client updates

Understandable... Even if there isn't any new items added to trade list, These are some nice implementations to the game and looks like some hard work, So, Thank you CCP for all the hard work you put into this game to make it better. I was just curious to know if I would be able to trade my 'Quafe' HMG for a 'Quafe' Combat Rifle any time soon.

This looks kool and all but we have so many missing things still in game (weapons, infrastructure, vehicles, pilot suits etc.), full racial parity and you are rebuilding the UI and menus. Seems to me like focus on 2nd rate priorities but that is just IMO Still this looks very kool just it just was not a priority, for me, as the rest of missing stuff

UI is traditionally a lot easier to implement than full blown assets like new weapons, vehicles, and structures.

edited my post to make it a better reflection of my initial thought.
Yeah i sadly am aware of the production difficulty levels on the UI,menus compared to the 3d modeling etc. still posted my concerns.

When I counted the number of Rattati posts on the forums today, compared to last week, I knew there would be a Blog forthcoming. It was clear he had finally finished whatever he was working on.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

This looks quite nice. Amazing work.
Would it be possible to add a tab to player info, a "certifications" tab that has, in short form, a list of all progress across all suits?
Something like a more concise menu of all loadouts, much like you have with Skillpoints. A "bare bones" display.
I like how this idea seems to draw alot from EVE online's certification system in many ways, giving a good progression plan to get to certain skill thresholds needed for play.

As the CEO of a New Player training Corp I am very happy with this approach to making Loadouts more intuitive for new players and introduce a better feel of progression. I also like how this in no way detracts from the complexity of the Loadouts system for Vets.

I love the role descriptions.
Basic - versatile Logistic - support Assault - combat, durable and fast
Durability and speed is exactly the attributes I see assaults having over other suits, defining a style of combat.
4 equipment for logis and 2 for basics. I hope this is implemented as well.

This has always been one of the most crucial issues affecting the NPE of the game and the fact that a players choices are now finally going to be given some form of context as to the impact of skills and SP have on their merc, is hugely pleasing to me.
I've been constantly harping on about how much better the UI can be for years now, sent multiple essays and design idea to CCP for it. So when CCP Rattati sent the CPM details about this new progression system, well, I was a bit emotional to say the least.
A huge amount of work has gone into 1.2 by Rattati and the team and its pretty much monetisation free, a criticism that was thrown at Warlords.
It's a brutal and honest truth but the game is now profitable, helping to fund changes such as this and fix long standing problems. This should help increase player retention and make it easier for those staying with us to learn the games many complexities.
