To experiment, I played a handful of games on my wife's account (~25m SP, k/d 2ish, W/L ~1.3) and was averaging a K/D of ~11 over five games where as I had a K/D of ~4 on this toon over a similar period. I used the exact same suit, same server settings and alternated between toons. I could tell that I was in a different tier of player on my wife's character. my 2 isk... small sample size and mostly anecdotal...

I want to use this statement right here as part of my reasoning for simply not allowing premade squads in pubs and also to have no comms to coordinate attacks. It simplifies matchmaking and allows for newb, casual and solo to all have a decent chance of jumping in, having fun and on to the next match without the hassle of leet corps coming down to pubs and pulling these PC routines against people who are playing on a totally different plain and playstyle from them It also allows players to have to prove themselves as individuals. Isn't that what these so called leet players always mention? Proving their individual worth? You have no worth if you run with these protostomp squads in pubs. Using grouped, coordinated cookie cutter methods to win based on predictable strategy, taking advantage of shoddy mechanics with little to no flavor is not fun for a lot of people. These corps are using pubs as a cheap excuse to stroke themselves. I don't need your power player mentality in my fun! The CPM candidate we need, not the one we want. The candidate for the rest of us.

Definitely! Only proto thing I regularly bring to pubs is the core rep tool as two heads are better than one :) But mostly it's a good way to waste isk as I get killed a bunch doing that. I'm probably the first one to complain (and loudly, I'm sorry) about proto stompers. Just take a break, desync with the group you've been placed with and try to get into another match. We would like you to know Corsy hates you too..... since when did you decide that you are allowed to represent the corp? I specialize in light attack vehicles, so what? i was the first CEO of corrosive synergy.

Have a good night, Wolf Made a post in feedback a while ago, bump it see if we can't come up with something Academy+ MLT/STD gear only, -25% ISK payout per match and perhaps if loyalty rank is lower than 2, player receives +25% SP gained its cheap to run and mainly BPOs but gives players somewhere to kick back to, get them last SP's needed for a new suit at the cost of slightly lower ISK gain. helps newer players get their SP up a bit with guidance from vets You'll never have enough ISK to buy my C-II BPO
