Yep. This fix definitely did that.

I woke up, logged in, and found SEVEN of my fits be invalid. Two of which were my assaults with compact hives (which I understand why it was done), yet the other five were my Logistics ck.0.
Fitting space on it was hard enough, as I had to put a Complex CPU module on all the fits due to the fact that despite being a CPU intensive suit, it has no CPU, thus the CPU module.

Logistics -- and Commandos -- need a look at next fix.

I WILL try to work around this, but it isn't going to be easy.
Silent nerf on an already gimped suit.

Didn't effect me as I run the specialist rifle and frees up tons of PG.CPU but still... why?

 Can anyone explain?

Considering cals in generally require allot of cpu and pg for our shield based modules and we only have 340 starting cpu (without bonuses) on our logis when 2 others start with 380. Why this is it like this. When we rely on shield based modules and have less survivability than other logis tends to screw us over with this cpu and pg costs of those modules makes it difficult already. Its bad enough that considering our bonus and our ability for hp stacking we should have the most cpu and pg space of the logis.

Ive asked other people regarding their fits and almost none of them have to use cpu and pg modules even though they run 4 equipment.

If thats the case I want 4 equipment and ill give up a low slot and get a increase to cpu to match min logis cuz this update as it stands mostly only mess with caldari.

Amar and gallente have armor based modules which take up little to no cpu.

Was it just compact. Cause I'm cool with that, I didn't run those on my cal logi anyways. The STD ones right.

i'll tell you why ccp done this, (a) because someone at sometime got killed by a cal logi in their assault suit, and complained about it to their friend who has a connection with the game, (b) cause they can.

i mean how can you even start to justify yet another 'nerf' on the most nerfed suit in new eden, shows just how idiotic the people are who come up with these so called 'updates', which seems to have broken EU server, but thats another topic,, i know lets make a shield based logi suit, then make it easy to use as a slayer, but impossible to fit as a logi suit without sacrificing a low slot with a cpu extender, STERLING thinking as usual ccp, cause before this there was a real problem with all these cal logis running around (sarcasm), as usual instead of fixxing ANYTHING they broke the game a little more, i think the developers of this game have missed their true calling, they should be politicians

When I used it I had to run a PG and CPU upgrade just to get 800hp and all proto equipment! It sucked then and this makes it worse! I respeced to Gal logi and can fit 4 proto equipments, proto gun, proto low slots and advanced highs.

didnt the assault cko drop 8-10pg down to 80 as well? Im pretty sure they stole armour from the cal senti and commando at 1.1 as well. Its like the devs think shields are better then armour. the differnce in hp stats could be fine if there was no rep tool or hives but there is so its bullshit. Since i started running 2 rep amarr sentinel i dont use the cal because shields stats suck tanking and regen.

The Caldari Commando needs at least two complex regulators to be decent (not effective), but only has 1 low slot.
And the Sentinel is.... Meh. You have to sacrifice tank for regen and there is simply better sentinels.

And I think they do as well.
Most people who use shield suits stack the **** out of it with armor, which makes me -.-

Eh, I'm loving my caldari logistics suit atm. Reps for DAYS! Compact nanos, PSH. I stick with proto equipment. And I'm really loving that shield delay, yet I'm still considering stacking plates in the lows and damage mods high, and REALLY making use of all those rep hives.

Edit: I notice when I shield tank a cal logi, I'm short on CPU but have plenty of PG left over. Can I trade that PG out for CPU please so I can full on proto shield tank my proto logi.

 Guess you didn't read carefully.
The compact nanos were on my Assaults.

The Logistics issue was due to the low CPU.
Coupled with fitting Repair Hives and Uplinks... That creates a low amount of PG. I actually had 5 invalid fits due to being over PG because of the CPU mods.

I don't use / need CPU mods myself. My setup now is pretty OP, though It would be nice if the logi had the CPU over the PG to fit for some great shield. ATM all I can manage is all enhanced shield mods in my highs and 3 complex regulators low and pro equipment.

As far as my assault, I never bothered with compact. I used the hives that gave me the best range and supply rate. Need mo cores!

Just sayin, I don't think that the nerf to compact hives, STD equipment, is all that destructive. I only used them on my sniper setup, just because they were low profile. While perhaps not needed I agree, I don't consider it game breaking.

Teb... You missed the point of the thread.
I can live without compacts on my assault. Even though that's all I could fit, I can do without.

The point of this was the CPU on the Caldari Logi ck.0.
The fact that, to be viable, you need a CPU mod to shield tank.

The point of this was the CPU on the Caldari Logi ck.0.
The fact that, to be viable, you need a CPU mod to shield tank.

No, I hear you there. I'm about 30 PG from being full yet full on CPU with a shield fit logi. Pro suit of course.

Like I said, would very much like to see that PG traded out for more CPU so that I can fully fit a proto shield suit. Maybe even trade one of those low slots out for it.

I'd rather get a 4th equipment in exchange for that 4th low slot.

It's still PG intensive due to shield extenders and rep hives.
And even with my Rail Rifle PG reduction at 5 (yeah, ton of SP) it's difficult to make viable fits.

I made one with 3 regulators and 2 rechargers, but it's pretty frail.
One flux and I'm gone. Lol

Caldari logistic low CPU amount is a relic from the summer 2013.
During late chromosome when new suit stats were released it was pretty obvious that caldari logi was a powerhouse allround winning suit with high pg/cpu and NINE fitting slots (more than others).

Despite some specualtions of it's power, Uprising was released as is.
The result: bumblebees everywhere, the slayer logi term was born.
Remember, this was the time when armor tanking was weak and shield tanking was king.

and the fix, during summer-autumn 2013:
reduce the CPU amount to nerf the full proto slay fitting ability.
My assessment was that it didn't matter that much as I was willing to fit a cpu mod, and I personally did go on cald logi for a long time as did some others.

But that is the origins of Cald logi having lower cpu and it has for some reason persisted through full logi skill rework. Even while armor tanking became the winner's choice.

Looking at both sides of the coin.

Whilst logi bonuses were updated, the suits have remained the same since the time you mentioned. An update is sorely needed.

The cal logi needs a CPU buff. It's still being judged guilty for its slayer-logi sins of the past, IMO. It's time to make the suit viable again.

In EVE you have ships that in a way, serve as a Command platform just to make things simple for those that dont play EVE.
These ships can be equipped with things called Warfare Links.

These modules provide specific bonuses to a fleet or wing that add to the combat or mining, etc. effectiveness of all fleet.

Translate this to DUST terms and its pretty much a module that enhances your abilities in certain areas. Scan Range, Accuracy Rating, repair Rate, shield Regen Rate, Dampening etc.As long as it makes sense we could have it as a warfare link module.

In my crazy ideal world Logistics would be a support platform with its current ways of equipment as well as by Warfare Link slots for modules.

Warfare Links slots would be an ordinary slot that a regular module could go into as well as a Warfare Link. You have to substitute personal defense for squad support.

These links are primarily for Logistics Class and the other suits would not have access to them. Even with the Logistics you can only fit a certain number of them at one time for fairness sake. Lets say, 2 at STD, 3 ADV, 4PRO for baseline stats. Give Commandos one slot for Warfare links as well because, well I like that idea . Can't explain gotta head in for work.

Anywho, id give scours ewar abilities back within normal limits and give Logis a great overhaul to do something that is completelybenificial to the game that can't be supplemented by a squad running coordinated equipment.

 Anywho, peace guys. o7

Honestly, I wish we could get Assaults with two Light slots and change Commandos to play that support role, but your idea would probably be easier to implement.

I would be ideal, but we have to work within certain boundaries, unfortunately.

I never realised the CPU was as low as 350 now. Even with core skills maxed thats near impossible to fit out without a Complex CPU Upgrade. Glad I didnt spec back into it. And yes the Compact Hive changes were stupid.

These Logi changes cant come sooner.

 Yeah...
Can't really "shield tank" with 459 maximum CPU.

The compact hive changes were for a reason, but it's the CPU modules that get me.
