They are trying to balance a anti-shield weapon so it's good at taking out armor. LOL, and in the process they completely screwed over shield tankers.

The Assault Scrambler is just spray and prey = <.< easy kills.
The Scrambler Rifle = It requires aiming and timing before it over heats.

I wasn't meaning nerfing it to the ground. I want them tuned correctly. I wish things got buffed and nerfed in increments.
2 weeks with each tune, then adjust.

On top of laser profile and overheating with very long seize time, it has terrible dispersion and no sharp shooter skill to correct this.

Very confused as I can see what is supposed to happen with that graph but are you sure that the AScR starts losing damage at a shorter distance than the CR?
Theoretically it should have the 3rd highest DPS after the Combat Rifle, 2nd Longest Effective and Total Range, a pretty middling RoF, and ideally in my mind one of the best stabilities and lowest dispersions of all rifle weapons in the game.

ASCR still has a 6 second cooldown period without overheat.
ASCR still has a lot of ADS recoil, it throws your aim off target, despite the recoil being fake.
ASCR has higher fitting requirements, preventing the use of higher tier modules I 1 slot, or higher tier equipment or grenades etc.
std ASCR costs more ISK than std AR (not the breach AR), same for adv and PRO versions (but you should ignore that ISK factor)
AR can fire a full 70 rounds, reload in 2.5 seconds, fire 70 rounds, repeat.
The ASCR fires 70 rounds, needs 5-6 seconds to cooldown and reload, fires 70 rounds etc. That is less overall DPS over large time periods. The AR is better for frequent suppression fire and multiple enemy engagements because of this advantage. (I think the operation skill reduces it to 5 seconds, or does it reduce heat cost instead?)
The ASCR capabilities are changed based on suit, the AR does not have this disadvantage.
The AR probably does more damage to armor because of the hybrid damage profile.
ASCR also needs to reload and can overheat which can be problematic sometimes

Like the chart just shows exactly whats wrong with dmg on scr. The ascr takes a plunge in range prof at 60 and so on but since this is assault varient its meant to since its range loss is compensated by fire rate which is good not meant to be effective long range also y it has auto fire. The scr however can reach same fire rate with quick trigger finger (or turbo controller) larger distance and range proficiency and dps greater with charge shot. Overheating not even an issue with amar assault so y this is the way it is is ridiculous. When the weapon does get nerfed (and it will) I hope the amount of armor damage it does is lowered cuz why it being a shield based weapon to do more than rr or cr makes no sense. But more importantly fire rate needs major nerf more specifically time between shots the weapon has a charge shot for a reason. Its meant to be a long range weapon y it can fire as fast as assault version makess ascr pointless to use and purposeless when the regular scr is better in every aspect. |
