I've always kind of felt that even though they're all in the vehicle class, issues that affect dropships affect them in rather different manners than those of ground vehicles so I've opened this area with ground vehicles more in mind, this does not preclude discussion of dropships in any manner though. This is not an area to argue and I expect discussion to follow the guidelines of rational debate and according argument tiers. I don't want this area to collapse into a neutron star of hatred, tears, butthurt and flamewars. Please express your thoughts and opinions in constructive manners, if you cant be bothered to be reasonable about things don't post here. I'm not planting a sign and outright saying "NO FUN ALLOWED", but dear god everyone knows the flamewars that have happened before, let's try not to repeat them. Anti-vehicle users and 'passengers' are welcome so long as they're respectful and kindly exit vehicles when we want to recall, relax or we somehow spontaneously catch fire. ~Mina Started this game with full intentions of being a shield tanker... back before I knew they were terrible, simply because of how awesome one person on youtube made driving a tank look. GW seem to use Manufactorum as the singular and Manufactorums for plural. That said, GW have never been particularly consistant and each Manufactorum does seem to be a series of smaller factories, all dedicated to producing one weapon or vehicle eg: Manufactorum Ajakis on Graia produced Titans, so I imagine there were factories within the Manufactorum that produced all the necessary parts. Keeping to the 40K-ish names, how about Legio Machina? Machine Legion. Purifier. First Class.

Personally I loathe them, they feel like a slot tax in that in order to create a 'competitive' fit for a few dropsuits and a ton of vehicles you have to fit a cpu/pg chip, I'd much rather fits be balanced around not having these things rather than there being a few outlier fits that were 'too good' so they got slapped with mandatory useless slots. Prior to the most recent rebalancing I would always use one on my Caldari HAV and have no complaints with it since it effectively allowed me to run one of the most powerful fits possible prior to the rebalance. I loathed using one on the Gallente HAV, and I needed a CPU extended for the Maddy to run my FW Mobile Bunker fittings, because it crippled the Madrugars ability to tank worth a damn vs single Pilot Madrugars. Post rebalance I really can't comment on Caldari HAV since I do not have any SP in them any longer however I had no issues when I did making use of one fitting module as nothing else more valuable could fit there and using one allowed me more primary tank from the high slots. However you and I both know that Shield fitting requirement are a bit jacked right now and the Regulator is in the High Slot and not the Low Slot like it should be. I still prefer Caldari Tanks over Gallentean ones for aesthetics, handling, and general premise since I feel they actually tank actively unlike the Gallente one which tanks passively with the efficiency of an Active Tank. Hopefully if those fitting disparities are rolled back, armour reppers shift to short duration active modules, and Shield Booster could provide a 1 second invuln to ensure that the 1950 shields were regened I think the Caldari HAV could be really competitive in Tank vs Tank gameplay. However Tank vs Infantry I wholly believe the Shield HAV is the better choice being able to more easily manipulate its HP, has better handling, and resists swarms and forges slightly better.
