CCP can make excuses all day long, and so can the part of their player base that doesnt want to be critical of the consequences of that design (a dissapointing game with massive wasted potential).
Its ok though, once Crowfall or Star Citizen comes out, you'll probably never see me again. l; I'm pretty sure the small branch of Star Citizens team for Squadron 42 is bigger than the entire DUST team put together They have some of the original designers for Cryengine on their team, which is pretty sick.
Yeah their lead "chairman", Chris Roberts, is pretty bro tier as well, and answers community questions and all that good stuff on youtube and has alot of community interaction.
The small dev team for Dust is just another mistake CCP has made and is making, not only are they not providing enough resources to make changes and improvements, they also routinely cannabalize the dust dev team for other projects like Valkaryie or Eve expansions (or so I have heard from a number of places, this may or may not be true). |

Also, DUST was cancelled. CCP only said they were going to pay more attention to it for now as a money maker. They didn't say they were re-green lighting it.
Death is a serious businessGǪ So is running a shoddy, half-baked game company.

In other words, they basically laid out that they had no idea what they were doing, what they wanted to do, or how to do it.
Pretty sure rumor-mongering is against the forum rules, buddy.

Unfortunately for you, you were not the first to make such statements and the patience of those who are following recent developments is waring thin. VERY thin.

You guys are right saying that OP is ungrateful, he is. But what he says isn't wrong.
You all seem to say "can't add 3D models cause the RAM can't allow it." I just want to say "WHAT !?!?!?"
If THIS is the issue then the problem isnt 3D models but optimisation, reducing the complexity of the programs, loading less useless stuffs smartly, etc. Saying that is utter crap. Look at games like Uncharted 2-3, killzone 3, or even DC Universe Online (another MMO on PS3 for those who dont know^^), their graphics are amazing (not talking about DCUO on that), their content is big, 3D models everywhere, detailed maps, PS3 does not melt. The devs on these games found a way to optimize them and make them work pretty well on a PS3. Take a game like Assassin's Creed, the map is huge, there's a lot of variety, houses, people, trees, grass, etc.. They did great even if the PS3 doesnt have a lot of RAM.
Fix the game before trying to add anything else.
(Hint: hit detection, lags, glitches,.. you've got some work :) )
