Of course too high of a ping will hurt you but if you're running at 100-140ms (this is my ping to several servers in eastern to western Europe) against 40-80ms you'll get an advantage, why? because lag comp basically drags low ping players up to high ping players level (of course that's a pretty simplified explanation); everything is mostly normal for the higher ping player while the lower ping player will experience lag (pedants will point out that it's not actually lag, but the average person would call it lag). Dishonest to me is someone doing something others can't do to get an edge. That's not what a modded controller is. The only edge it even gives you here is RoF - Macros don't effect us much. So only guns like Tac AR, ScR and other single shooters with no limit on RoF get an edge with it.
