DUST Search - CCP, Scotty is crazy!

But leaving 3 times in a row within seconds as you see there? Nah something is up there - unless he is real and he has figured out a scripted exploit. Maybe it's Scotty's alt.

Its not a real player. Its an error the occurs when someone leaves before his data is processed by the server, so as his name hasnt been registered into the battle yet, the placeholder "DustPlayer" is allocated. Dust User is normally confused with this error lol.

Today I squaded up with corp mates and we just couldn't play. We were finding matches, but when we were jumping in we were kicked after a few seconds. Even worse, once that happened, we were sent into games whereas we weren't searching for one to get kicked out again. At some point we were deployed and kicked so quickly we were constantly in loading screen. It finally calmed down so we all manage to relog, and when we tried to join a battle, it started all over again. Some of us finally managed to find some games and stay in, but not as a squad. Moreover games were often 5vs11 or that kind of crap because another squad seemed to be trapped in the deployment storm. Plz do something

When you watch the killboard on the right you can see so weird **** like the same player leaving battle 4 times in 10 seconds, or another one joining 2 seconds after he left etc. I don't know what CCP did to create this problem but if it's not fixed quickly the game will die in a few weeks. Personally I don't have fun playing anymore because of empty games when I managed to stay in one. And you should make more vids I like the way you play.

Rarely would squads be able to enter a match.... The different rankings in one group would cause the matchmaking system to go hay wire about trying to place them. Matches often ended up one sided for player counts... As players would get kicked out of a matchmaking process aswell as players getting frustrated with waiting for the new process and quitting. Matchmaking isn't an easy mechanic to implement if you didn't build your game from the ground with it in mind. Like CS:GO did... Rockstar still has massive matchmaking issues with GTA 5 and they have poured thousands of developer hours into it. The game wasn't built from the ground with matchmaking in mind... So trying to implement it on an active population creates to many unforseen variables. I don't envy the task of what has to be done to ride out implementation of a matchmaking sytem... I Just Hope CCP as a Whole learns from this... And if they do try and make another FPS game.. They don't try and dictate the entire game genre to a bunch of casual players and actually build a matchmaking system from the ground up with the game.
