When I lerft nearly a year ago they were not used very often , only ran into them at the occasional hacking objective point. I was a bit surprised at just how often they are used now, most especially for Domination. It is such a pain for sure, for being nerfed several times as some claim..it's odd how many decided to pick them up afterwards... i'm not bitching, just sayin what I observe. Now that I have somewhat figured out the hot zones for most RE users..I just stay the fk away if I can. |

I only have a problem with REs when people, namingly scouts, spam 'em instead of fight.
One might say... I'm very skilled... yet I'm his apprentice... So what does that say about my mentor?

I notice that REs are generally hidden around corners by any area that looks like a choke point so that the person who planted the RE can have some guarantee of where the opponent may come from. Objectives are just too obvious for an RE to be planted on since almost anyone who hacks might be smart enough to carry some flux grenades with them.
But anyways, if what KEROSIINI-TERO says is true then latency might be the principle issue on why REs are not taking 5 seconds before being able to detonate. One work-around is to extend the delay by an extra second but that's not really fixing the issue. That's just tip-toeing around the issue and that will only punish those players who have built a play style with them. The letancy needs to be addressed directly if we want this issue gone or mitigated. In other words if you have a symptom, logic dictates you must treat the illness that causes the symptom.

No ******* explosive delay just one *boop* on the button then bam it's ******* blowing up everyone within the raidus why aren't there ******* fourms about Re's? I agree it should be instant death depending on the mods u have on your suit but if they can just make it explode after one damn sec then it's already a problem
Do I need to QQ some more about this bullshit? SHITPOSTERS ASSEMBLE!

That sounds like a lag problem rather than a mechanic problem. it may well be, however the ability to throw something 10m, that deals 1250 damage in a 5m radius is completely stupid. it takes to risk and can have great benefits. it needs looking at. I've seen this lag problem but it gets irritating when I see players actually use it as a tactic. I've seen the "hey I'mma gonna use a myofib and have it explode upon ground touch down". It equally gets annoying when I somehow am stuck on the games virtual steps and can't move much like how you can experience being stuck on the MCC when attempting to drop down.
The only other problems I see with RE's are how scanners sometimes for reasons unexplained will scan and show the RE but it's not on the location scanned and is a few meters/feet away. It does actually matter if you've got a flux grenade and it "misses" just because it was actually in another spot.
Frankly I think fluxes need to be adjusted, if an RE or nanohive are in it's effective radius but not on the same elevation due to it being on a feature of the terrain like a crate or vehicle that is also part of the terrain the flux won't grab it. These also make RE's a pain since I know bombers who use this as well fully aware that some game terrains make it nearly impossible to destroy the RE without a clear LoS, fluxes not working and the elevation it's on too small making you subject to it's explosive.
RE's are fine, but ppl should really stop acting like it's "perfect". This is Dust and if there is a game glitch players can exploit to their advantage, even if not intended by the devs, they will use it to their advantage. |

Um, I meant there was a mistake in activation delay increase, it was announced but did not happen. That should be fixed.
Looking at both sides of the coin.
Even Aurum one.
