7) Gankers and Tankers are the wannabe tryhards (points at Nameless III, his bumboy David, and Kaizuka Sniper), who outside of Ambush are trash players. I tend to run varied suits focusing on a more broad approach (e.g. Trying to fit an Assault as a Scout and Logi, whilst keeping it as a slayer)
8) I want that so bloody bad. As much as I love Proto... an all Advanced mode with actual competition would be beautiful.

There isnt a need for a proto squad in pubs, a competent, organized squad is enough. People run proto squads to maximize profit, minimize loss, and stoke their egos with false inflation. It isnt fun, its cost efficient I guess People start in proto to get a headstart, then if they start hemorrhaging isk, they downgrade to save I generally always play adv, I have 1 or 2 proto versions of my different suits for tough fights, except commando I'm still trying to burn through the event Neo suits. I'm very ready, 6 man squads are too much. Tank and gank isn't fun, I like diverse goofy fits, been running a rep/damp/speed assault for awhile now. I'd like meta level locked tiers, with an optional free for all mode with no restrictions that doesnt revolve around waiting for fw or pc timers. Ps. Stream Moar Twitch! At times, it seems close. The problem is that it has a tendency to go "this is a squad of 6, put them against 2 squads of 2." I think the biggest problem is that a Squad of 6 people are able to absolutely route 16 random players and it is difficult for a single player to get the cats herded. IE, it is hard to convince people to take my safe Uplink so we can grab the objective. 2. Is there a need to run a Squad to begin with? This is a loaded question. I don't run Squads 98% of the time. People do it because that is THE best time to go Proto. With a Squad looking after you, you are less likely to die. Dying with a Prototype Suit and Weapon is easily over 120k. When you have total backup, it is safest to use Prototype then as opposed to using Advanced gear. 3. People like to win. They get their fun out of having a slightly different End of Match music and having big, massive scores against unorganized people. 4. In a Domination, the first team that can get to the point and lock it down is often the winner. Starting Prototype gives an advantage at that. For the downgrading bit, sometimes people don't have to downgrade because they don't die. If being in that Prototype suit stops you from dying when an Advanced suit would cause a death, it is obviously better and more cost efficient to be Prototype. People downgrade so they don't burn too much ISK if they have a death intensive game. 5. Why? It seems both make sense. "We are losing a lot of suits; bring out the big boys!" makes equal sense to me as "we are losing a lot of suits; bring out the cheap stuff!" At least starting with it as the potential of you being able to use it without losing it rather than 'throwing good money after bad.' 6. Sure. Doesn't bother me as I rarely am in a Squad. I don't know if having 2 less people will really help anything though. At the end of match, you will often see the top 4-6 places be 3-4 of the Squad guys with the rest a bit lower. There is only so much WP to go around. IE, I predict that 4 might stomp as hard as 6. Still, seems like it could b a helpful change. 7. When the job of the game is killing people, Gank and Tank seems to make the most sense. However, the Gank and Tank Scout will be seen by the Scout that is dampened and has precision mods. A Myofibril stacked suit can easily flank the Gank'n'Tank for a huge surprise. It isn't the be all and end all as much as it seems. 8. I dunno. I am the less evil of the Prototype guys I suppose. Solo Prototype. I can see making it Metalocked might royally screw over certain roles more than others as Standard equipment is terrible, advanced equipment is behind, and Prototype equipment is the only ones that are good. I think it is something like 15 second, 11 seconds, and 8 second spawn time for Uplinks. It will be interesting to see if the true Protostompers' words of "we can do that even in basic gear!" rings true. Watching your video, I remember why I don't play Ambush. Not even for the stomp but because of the "where is the enemy team?" after you kill them. At least Domination puts everyone in the blender. "This is B.S! This is B.S! I paid money! Ever try to sneak up on a sniper that can see your location from 150m out? You can't dampen and they can track you till you flee from the squad, or they kick you. Pubs should be no squads and no que syncing by individuals. Level the pub playing field for the casuals, solo and new player that just wants to jump in and out quick for some simple fun. But, I basically use it as an ISK generator. Nameless, David, Al the Snow, and I the other day made 10M in 2 hours. It's not proto itself. It's tactics clashing with Ambush's one sided spawn system. 99% of all pub matches are decided in the warbarge. Very rarely does an upset occur when both teams play "as intended". Than again good teams can he reduced to trash vie way of broken game mechanics I know what 32 people are doing at once. Trick is, I really only need to pay attention to 31...
