So personally I have been calling for a PC version of DUST since the very first public release of any information about DUST 514. My experiences with DUST have further reduced my appreciation of consoles.
That all being said I will say this - If PS4 is the ONLY way any sort of DUST / Legion continues (I.E CCP just wont bring it to the PC or what ever) I actually love DUST enough that I would ~consider~ buying a PS4 JUST for DUST much the same way I did with the PS3.
I haven't had as much fun / had a similar experience in FPS gaming since Battlefield 2142. I don't see anything on the market or anything coming up that even tries to do what CCP have done with DUST. Therefore I guess I am a CCP fanboy.....will follow into oblivion!

If CCP Rattati hits his goals for the 2015 roadmap and Dust continues to be profitable I think it could be very likely. Those are two big ifs though.
The funny thing is I think if people knew that this game had a clear long term future many players especially the f2p "whales" as they are called would be willing to fund Dust 514 even further.

It's good to know Rattati and the team's efforts are recognized. We had some clear monetization moves that weren't popular but maybe people will see that they were necessary.

People weren't very happy with the Decryption Keys at first due to their low salvage rate, seemingly common AUR-related Daily Missions for keys (and very rare free keys), and the lackluster loot we got from strongboxes during the initial weeks of Daily Missions being introduced. But thankfully that's all been changed now that we have at least one guaranteed free key from a Daily Mission, strongboxes only handing out high-level loot (including BPOs), and simple trading being a high possibility for Warlords 1.1.

It really feels like even the die hard Eve players that bought PS3s would go for PS4s if Dust 514 went this direction.
I think maintaining the console community that Dust has built up would be a huge win as well rather than trying to start over on the PC or cannibalize chunks of the current Eve community for Dust 514. One of the worst parts of the whole Legion debacle was the sense that CCP gave everyone that had help Dust survive the finger, which would also be reset by going PS4 as well.

Ripley, you and I may disagree on the whole PS4/PC debate, but I think at the end of the day the key point is that we want Dust to survive beyond the PS3.
CCP supporting and planning to put Dust on x86 architecture would do that. Whether we end up on PS4 or PC that support would mean that Dust will have a future beyond the PS3.
