I run up to them and I shoot them. That is pretty much what I do with every enemy I see. |

I generally go "Oh crap a Heavy!" and get slightly confused when they are using a Light Weapon until my brain goes "Oh, Commando." I don't think anything other than that really. I try to kill them. If I do, I move on to the next opponent. If they kill me, I naturally say they were obviously cheating somehow and send them hatemail. I jest of course.

amarr commando with ascr and lr is downright scary.
galmando with is great with dual ARs or AR and plasma cannon
minmando has a damage bonus to CR, MD and SL. Need i say more?

I don't use commando's because if i don't have any skilled up to PRO level
i don't want to skill into PRO commando's because if i want to slay, i can slay in my assault...and a commando is easily scanned, slow and has bad regen stats

I just see them as a "whatever" type of suit given the circumstances. The only useful commando on the field as of now is the Minmitar one I've seen with swarms and a combat rifle

When I'm in a vehicle I go, oh ****, Kill him first.
When I'm in an assault suit I think, meh.
As long as 5/6 (83%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP

Well I play it myself, but honestly if I'm in a vehicle I avoid them like the plague (as the second weapon is likely a swarm, or a PLC). If as an infantry, I try and end the engagement at range as they will likely out-DPS me but have terribad regen and can't dodge anything for crap so cover works like a charm.

If it is an amarr or caldari commando at range with a LR, ScR or RR I avoid them.
If it is any commando with a height advantage I avoid them.
In all other scenarios I usually kill them easily. But the are a few players out there that are very good with commandos. If they kill my scout or assault then my hmg will solve the problem.
The only real truth in history is that it was bloody.

When I use my Minmatar commando I am actually scared of other infantry, I get rekt often in 1 vs 1 situtaions even though I do 129% damage with my combat rifle vs shields and 144% vs armour. I think its because of my big moist box... hit box silly, and tortoise like speed though I beg to differ because I have maxed my scrub level.
Cup of tea anyone?

But saying that when I see a commando he's normaly out in the open and a massive target. most people don't know what the hell to put as there secondary so they go with stupid choices . Eg shotgun or swarms the commado was ment to be a dual weilding killing machine for infanty not bloody Av

You wanna make people cower in fear?
Run a Minmando with a Combat Rifle, Nanohives, and an assault mass driver.
On the hanger domination map. South catwalks, eastern side. Sit right next to that crate, lay down a hive as you need it.
You can control the entire hanger from that spot, the only blind spot is the catwalks beneath you. You can mass drive the other catwalks, where they jump down on yours, the objective, etc.
My record on that map was 32-2 using a Minmando, with a few multikills from that MD.
It's glorious.

I typically see them hanging towards the rear of the heard, so I sprint up to them in my dampened scout and apply the close range death fisting. The mandos are good at what they do, stay towards the back of assaults and fire in death from dual light weapons that they get bonuses on. A Calmando with a RR and a Sniper is deadly on a rooftop.
Don't start the vehicle guys on dual Swarmed MK.0, so many QQs.
With heavies not being able to hit the broad side of a barn with the HMG anymore, you will see an increase in the mandos for holding points soon, because a SCR/ACR mando is just nasty on a covered point. SCR for mid range and ACR is a SMG that does good dmg.
Now to start shotgunning and REing again, everyone will love this play style. Face Palm!

I'm generally too busy spraying in all directions to process what an enemy is until the fight is over. I just assume everyone is a scout or heavy, then afterwards I think "Oh yeah that was a commando, why did he have a _______." Then I switch to my commando and pop people with the plc.

It's often a situational thing, depending mainly on where, and what suit I'm wearing. In my scout, the general mentality when I see anything is, "Just keep your head low, keep moving, and hope to the creator they don't see me (at least until I want to be seen)." When I see one in my assault, I'm usually not afraid unless I've been caught in the open. Of course, some commandos are very good at utilizing both of their weapons to kill you faster. If he renders while I'm in my DS, you can bet 4/5 times I'm on my way to different airspace (but there is also the 1/5 chance that I might decide to try and land him).

Commando is just barely above logi in terms of threat level, they are generally pretty bad. The only thing that is really dangerous is their mellee damage, which can pretty easily get up to 600+ damage depending on how many myofibrils they have on, but thats easily avoided if you care to avoid it. |

The reason most people aren't scared of most commandos is because most of them are wannabes who try to use them like assaults with a secondary AV function. The genuine articles are the really dangerous ones and are really rare among an already rare breed of mercenaries.
There are honestly less than 300 career commandos like myself who fall under this category. Probably less than 200 even, and this isn't even trying to toot my own horn or some exaggeration.
